Story
Meet Pegasus! Don’t let the name fool you, Pegasus isn’t ready to fly away… he’s ready to land himself right in your family! Pegasus is a 3-year-old Rottweiler mix who came to us after his family had to surrender him because of landlord issues. He was raised with another dog, loves cats and kids, and is hoping his next family will be his forever one. This handsome guy is: Working on his potty training Knows sit and is working on down VERY treat motivated! He takes the first few nicely, then apparently decides patience is overrated and starts gobbling them down. Loves bouncing around and showing off his happy energy Will happily put a toy in his mouth… then immediately drops it like, “Okay, that`s enough toy time.” Dog-friendly, cat-friendly AND kid-friendly!More than anything, Pegasus would love to know what it feels like to be part of a family again. He has so much love and goofy personality to give, and he’s ready for someone who will give him the forever home he deserves. Could you be Pegasus’ happily-ever-after?

Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Lambada came to us from an owner in Indiana who could no longer keep her by no fault of her own. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 02/14/19 and she currently weighs 79#. We are guessing at her breed make up. This girl is reported as house trained. She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings includung rabies, is heart worm tested negative and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. Her adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, cashier's check or money order. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with her forever home. ##735875##

Story
Holstein's Highlights: • Sweet 1-year-old Rottweiler • Gentle and thoughtful boy • Building confidence with new people • Treat motivated Meet Holstein! Holstein is a sweet young Rottweiler mix who is still learning that the world isn't quite as scary as it can seem at first. He may take some time to warm up to new people, but once he starts to feel comfortable, his softer side begins to shine. With a little patience, treats, and time together, Holstein has already started opening up. He'll happily sit beside someone he trusts and lean into a good butt scratch. He has such a sweet face, and there's something really special about watching his confidence grow as he learns that people can be friends. At just 1 year old, Holstein has so much life ahead of him and plenty of room to continue discovering who he is. For the right person, getting to watch this sweet boy come out of his shell could be an incredibly rewarding experience. If you're looking for a gentle young dog and are willing to let a friendship develop at his pace, Holstein may be the boy you've been waiting to meet. Submit an adoption survey at al-van.org/adopt.

Story
Meet Peach! Peach is a beautiful 3-year-old Rottweiler looking for a loving forever home. When meeting new people, Peach can be a little shy and cautious at first. However, with patience and kindness, she quickly reveals her true personality - a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to the people she knows and trusts. Peach clearly hasn`t had the easiest start in life, and we`re hoping her next chapter is filled with the love, security, and happiness she deserves. Once she forms a bond, she`s a loyal companion who would be happiest spending her days by your side, whether that`s relaxing at home or enjoying a leisurely walk together. She walks nicely on a leash and would love to be your partner for daily strolls and outdoor adventures. At this time, we believe Peach would thrive as the only pet in the home and would do best with older, respectful children who can understand her need for a gentle introduction. Peach is ready for a fresh start and a family willing to see the wonderful dog she truly is. Could you be the one to give Peach the second chance she`s been waiting for?

Story
This beautiful Rottweiler mix has a heart as big as her smile. Josie loves people, adores her toys, and keeps her kennel tidy like the good girl she is. She walks wonderfully on leash and enjoys every chance to get out and explore. Josie was adopted once before but found herself back at the shelter a few years later — through no fault of her own. She’s ready to start fresh and find the loving forever family she’s been waiting for. She can be a little selective about her dog friends and will need a home without cats, but she more than makes up for it with her loyal, affectionate personality. Josie is playful, people-loving, and ready to fill your life with joy — apply to meet her and see why she’s so special!
