She's an energetic, playful companion who loves the company of other dogs. Her playful nature is infectious, spreading joy to everyone around her. However, Dixie prefers the company of larger companions and would do best in a home without cats or small children. She's an intelligent, trainable dog who would thrive with an owner willing to invest time in her. Dixie's vibrant personality and love for play make her a wonderful potential addition to a family. She's waiting for a home where she can share her boundless love and enthusiasm.   Dixie is spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Story
We brought Logan from Argentina when he was a puppy. He is related to our rotties back in Argentina. He has been an amazing dog. Such a loving and amazing companion. Full of energy to play and ready to chill when you want to chill. He is just pure love that is not getting the company he deserves. The current situation is that we are traveling abroad for work too often, for long periods of time and are not able to spend enough time with him. We think he would have a much better time and life with a loving family that is present and wants to spend time with him. If you can't tell from the pictures, he is BEAUTIFUL. Every time we walk him in the neighborhood, at least one time, someone stops us to say what a beautiful dog. We just want him to have a fun life. In case you are wondering, he's NEVER bitten anyone or any other animal. However, he will bark to outside noises and make it sound like he is a dangerous beast... :D ! Let us know if you have any questions! Juan & Juli

Story
My name is Irene. I was a momma dog at the shelter. My puppies have all grown up and gone to a foster home- now it's my time to shine. I'm great on a leash and enjoy neighborhood walks. When we go outside for a walk, I collect sticks and carry them as my prize. I really love toys and my favorite game is to grab a tennis ball, squeaky ball, or plush toy and fetch or be chased. Sometimes I entertain myself by chasing a giggle ball around-that's my favorite toy of all. I’m crate trained, but I like to take afternoon naps in my dog bed. My foster home consists of one other dog, and we love to play together. I would do great in a forever home with other dogs or the queen of my own castle. Story
Look at the difference in all of her photos...Nala came into MHS at 39-pounds. She has since gained 20-pounds and is at a wonderful, healthy weight. Her skin has improved and has turned into a beautiful, soft coat. But, the one thing that has not changed in Nala since she arrived is how loving she is. From her initial intake to present day, Nala has wanted love; to show love, to be loved. Her attitude and personality were never anything less than exuberantly joyful. She trusted us immediately and has shown everyone how special and deserving of a family she is. Her ideal family would be one where she can join them for daily walks. She would also love to play fetch with tennis balls because that makes her so happy! She is the best fetcher ever! She also loves sniffing through snufflemats. Nala is a treat-motivated gal! Oh, and another amazing thing about her is that she takes treats so gently. In her previous home, she has lived with kiddos about 10ish and up. She'd love to be the only furbaby in her new home and redirects very nicely when she sees other pups out and about. She'll also redirect for a tennis ball or squeaky toy! She also did great in her crate in her previous home. We cannot say enough good things about her. Nala is about six years old and is spayed.

Story
One of the many wonderful things about Sasha is how she matches the energy of whoever she is with. If we are playing, Sasha is playing. If we are calm, Sasha is calm. If Sasha is hanging with other shelter dogs and they want to play, she wants to play. If they prefer sniffing, she will go her own way to sniff, too. If it is time for training and enrichment, Sasha is all in for the entire session. She is the most people-oriented dog and thrives on relationships. And speaking of relationships, her interactions with other friendly shelter dogs have been quite positive! Depending on the resident dog, she may do great with a fursibling! In her previous home, she did wonderful at being house-trained and was most content to stay in a bedroom while she was hanging by herself. She's a great car rider, too! Sasha is a perfect balance of playful, social, but also a little shy. She is a very relational girl when it comes to getting to know new people. A slow intro with yummy treats has been the way to her heart. Teenagers and older in the home would be best! She is a younger gal, a little less than three years old and is about 50-pounds. Come meet this lovebug.
