Steady Heart, Gentle Soul Rumble is a calm and affectionate young lady who is new to our care. Based on information from her previous shelter, she is a bit timid and has a submissive nature, often rolling over for scratches. The shelter environment can be overwhelming for her, but in a calm, patient home, her gentle, loving personality shines through. Rumble is a beautiful, Rottweiler-type girl, around 3 years old, and weighs 54 pounds. She’s looking for a patient companion who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe and loved.

Story
Macaroni is a handsome, 2-year-old Rottweiler mix with a tender heart and a gentle soul. This sweet boy is still learning that the world is a safe place, and he’ll need a patient, understanding home willing to give him the time and space he deserves. Macaroni is very shy and currently isn’t comfortable being touched or approached directly. He tends to choose a “safe spot” in the house (his favorite is a cozy bedroom closet!) where he can relax and observe. While he keeps his distance from people, he does well with other dogs in the home and would likely benefit from a calm, confident canine companion to help him continue building trust. He enjoys going on walks, though he prefers to trail behind and can sometimes get startled. A quiet neighborhood and a steady routine will help him feel more secure. Macaroni is still quite anxious, and caring for him requires patience and compassion — but for the right person, helping him grow will be incredibly rewarding. He settles in a crate when his person is away and does well for about 4–6 hours. Occasionally he may need a little encouragement going in, but most of the time he handles it well. He has made great progress with potty training and gets better every day! Macaroni may not be the dog who runs up for cuddles right away — in fact, it may take him quite some time to fully open up. But underneath his shyness is a loving dog who just needs someone to believe in him. With patience, consistency, and a gentle heart, Macaroni has so much potential to blossom.

Story
Toaster: A Brave, Playful Little Sidekick Toaster is a brave little guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. New places and new people can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but with calm, confident guidance, he settles in beautifully and becomes a devoted shadow. Playtime is one of Toaster’s favorite things. He’s a big fan of chasing balls, squeaky toys, and joyful zoomies. He also loves rolling around in grass, blankets, or carpet, fully embracing life’s simple pleasures. His play style is enthusiastic, he likes clear boundaries and consistency as he learns to channel his excitement. Toaster thrives with structure and routine and does best when he gets regular chances to go outside and reset. He’s fairly quiet overall and has great manners, politely giving space when people are eating nearby. Affectionate, fun-loving, and full of spark, Toaster will do best with experienced, confident dog owners who can provide steady leadership, clear communication, and a predictable environment. In the right home, he’ll shine as a playful companion and loyal sidekick. If you’re looking for a dog with heart, personality, and a whole lot of love to give, Toaster is ready to toast his way into your life.

Artichoke: Big Personality, Even Bigger Heart Artichoke looks like a Rottweiler/Australian Kelpie mix, and he’s a dog with both presence and personality. New to us, he has already made an impression as a loyal, engaging companion with so much potential. He’s attentive and aware of his surroundings, making him a loyal companion who likes to keep an eye on things and stay connected to his home and family. Story
She's playful, a goofball & cuddler. She likes socializing especially at daycare, and loves photo day. * She occasionally has allergies, that leads to ear infections. Benadryl has helped. Her big dog leg issues have been alleviated by cold laser therapy. * The fee is to assure you are serious & financially sound. Her belongings and remaining food can accompany her. * I am rehoming her because my health has taken a turn. I am not able to walk her regularly & play with her as often as she'd like. * She prefers to be indoors with her human(s) & to have a playmate. She always loved when I'd dog sit for others. I am working on taking her to one of the dog pools. * She has an AKC lineage and is DNA confirmed to not have any genetic disorders. * She has been trained to walk on a treadmill with mild supervision. She is adored by any clinic, daycare, and every park she has attended. * Should you submit an application, I will call to arrange a meeting. Please respond back within 3 days.

Story
Thomas is almost 2 years old and is an active sweet boy. Thomas was rescued from a deplorable situation one year ago and has since learned what love is and how fun it can be to be a dog! He has all the classic Rottie traits: grumble and wooes for breakfast, dinner or when exited, personal assistant with little personal space (Velcro dog) and is playful bringing his toys with him to show you. He is protective and very sensitive and doesn't require much discipline. He needs an active household with lots of walks, car rides and stimulation. A perfect household would preferably be: an active woman seeking a companion or a family that wants a mascot. He is shy around men and needs a little TLC. I absolutely adore Thomas and know he will be a great addition to someones life. I am unable to care for him as I am a primary caretaker for my elderly mom.

Story
FOSTER OR FUREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Abel, he is currently at the Memphis, Texas pound in danger of his life. t’s honestly surprising that Abel is still waiting for his home. At about 1.5 years old, Abel is a boxer mix with one of the easiest, most even-keeled personalities. Despite a rough start and being found as a stray, he has shown nothing but kindness, resilience, and an impressive ability to trust again. Abel warms up to people quickly, does well with other dogs, and has a calm, steady presence that makes him a great fit for a variety of homes. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people and enjoy a stable, loving environment. • Male, approx. 1.5 years old • Vaccinated • Neutered • Dog-friendly • Transport available anywhere Abel is ready for a fresh start and a place to finally call home. If you can foster, adopt, or help by sharing his story, please reach out. 💙Fureverfriendsandrescue@gmail.com
