Groot is 6 years old. Does great with older kids. Takes a little while to warm up to new dogs or men, but has grown up in a household with other dogs, and many different family members in and out. He needs an experienced adopter who will be patient in introducing him to a new environment, and establishing a new routine with new people. His favorite treats are ice cubes, he is kennel trained, doggy door trained, and a couch potato when he isn't playing. He loves attention more than anything, and just wants to be close to his people. He does not do great with tiny humans, which is the reason he needs to find a new home. No aggression, but knocking over, nervous around them, and stealing toys left out.

Age: Approx. 2 years Gender: Spayed Female Weight: 52 lbs Breed: Doberman Pinscher Mix Favorites: Treats, playing with people Energy level: Moderate Training: Knows command “sit” Other important info about me: I came to the shelter when I was abandoned, along with my 8 puppies, in a crate in direct sunlight. There was not enough room for us all in the crate and we were in poor health; one of my pups was even suffering from heat stroke. Thankfully, a nice officer picked us up and got us into air conditioning ASAP! After some medical care, we were ready for adoption. My pups have all been adopted now, but I’m still waiting for my forever home. I’m sweet and well mannered, and just generally enjoy being around people! If you’re looking for a dog to hang out with that’s not super high energy, I’m your girl. I do well with people of all ages and other dogs, but I haven’t been tested with cats at this time. He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him! He is an intelligent dog who is good with other dogs and is loyal to those around him. This handsome boy has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!! He was about 62 pounds when rescued from the streets, and he is still thin. We believe he is approximately 2 years old, maybe less. He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar. It's so cute to watch! Gus is house-trained and he knows 'sit.' He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return. He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too ! He is good with other dogs and children. He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun!
