This gentle Rottie mama came to us after being left behind at BARC when another rescue took her puppy but not her. We couldn’t let that be the end of her story. From the moment we met her, her calm, loving spirit won us over. Ceylon is wonderful with other dogs, confident and loyal — exactly what you’d expect from her breed. She’s well-mannered, keeps her kennel clean, and loves soft affection (and treats!). She’s about 5 years old and would thrive in a home where she can finally relax and be someone’s cherished companion. She is heartworm positive, which is common here, but she’s already in treatment, will be just fine, and it’s not contagious to pets or people. This girl deserves a home, not a kennel. Story
Groot is 6 years old. Does great with older kids. Takes a little while to warm up to new dogs or men, but has grown up in a household with other dogs, and many different family members in and out. He needs an experienced adopter who will be patient in introducing him to a new environment, and establishing a new routine with new people. His favorite treats are ice cubes, he is kennel trained, doggy door trained, and a couch potato when he isn't playing. He loves attention more than anything, and just wants to be close to his people. He does not do great with tiny humans, which is the reason he needs to find a new home. No aggression, but knocking over, nervous around them, and stealing toys left out.
