Xena just turned 1 years old in February. We love her dearly but we feel like she’d be better off in a home with more active owners. I am also unemployed and cannot keep up with her expenses. Xena is very bubbly and is a good friend. She would make a great service dog with professional training. Every time I cry with her in the room, she’ll come cuddle me to comfort me. She loves playing with other dogs but you must feed her separately from them, as she likes to steal and fight over food.

I got him for the family when he was 8 weeks old. After 4 years, I divorced and now have hardly any time to care for him which breaks my heart. I hate to let him go, but I know he deserves a better home where he can get the love and attention he needs. He's a good boy, very protective and listens to command such as sit, stay, down, corner, etc. He lives with 2 cats but never lived with other dogs, would probably be okay if introduced to a puppy.

Hi there my name is Jake Rodriguez. I'm hoping to surrender my girlfriends pet. He is a 45 pound Rott mix. My girlfriend and I moved into together 6 months ago due to her being pregnant, she has now given birth as of August 16th. Unfortunately Ramsey does not get along with my other dogs due to them being larger breeds. He is great with small dogs and great with kids and humans! We have tried to domesticate them although he is just not good with the other dogs. I cant allow him to be aggressive with a new born in the house. Unfortunately this change of lifestyle in the household leaves us no choice but to rehome Ramsey into a home or shelter to reframe from any mishap or hostility around the baby. He is Spayed and Fully Vaccinated with papers from VCA Castle Hills. We wish to help new owner in anyway possible! Comes with cage as well.

My story Here's what the humans have to say about me: Meet Bertha Say hello to Bertha! Bertha is a beautiful Boxer mix who is approximately 1.5 to 2 years old and currently weighs 40 pounds. She ended up in the dog pound, along the border of Mexico! All of the Animal Control Officers loved her, and as us to please help!! We are very happy we were able to rescue her and help her find a forever home! Bertha is a very happy and playful gal! She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup here at the rescue. They have a great time playing and exploring together. She does still have some puppy energy, so would do best in an active home with older kiddos where she can go on lots of walks, runs and/or hike, She is a very smart girl who learns quickly and wants love and attention so badly! She craves being with people! A basic obedience class would be great for her, she wants to please and is very treat motivated! Bertha is a wonderful girl who would be a loyal and loving companion to a loving family! Bertha is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. *Bertha tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. My story Here's what the humans have to say about me: Meet Jewel! Jewel was in a small rural shelter in La Joya, Texas on the border of Mexico. She was picked up as a stray with her 5 cute little happy puppies. We think she is a boxer/terrier mix, 35lbs and around 2 years old. She has beautiful eyes that look through your soul. And her underbite smile is everything! Jewel is a jewel! A true gem. She is super friendly, happy, loving and wonderful! She has never met a stranger and gets along great with other dogs. She has a playful side, but she isn't overboard, and loves loves loves being with people. Our van was totally full on our last trip to the border, but we just could not leave her and her puppies behind, after her heart felt yodel in the kennel. Must watch her video. She is a great dog, with a wonderful happy future full of love and fun to give to the right family. She did test positive for HW disease and will be treated.
