Story
Scarlet is a breathtakingly beautiful and heart-meltingly sweet Rottie girl looking for forever love. Scarlet is a fan favorite here at the rescue, adored by our staff and volunteers alike. The first thing we noticed about Scarlet was her sweetness- “she craves affections, and loves a belly rub.” We believe that Scarlet is a Rottweiler mix of some sort, maybe just pure Rottweiler- but she is a rescue, so her exact lineage cannot be guaranteed. Scarlet is estimated to be around 5 years old. She weighs in at a whopping 87 pounds, she’s a big teddy bear, a true gentle giant! Fall in love with Scarlet here: https://youtu.be/N8aHlgyiDAQ?feature=shared “Easy like Sunday morning,” that’s how one of our volunteers describes Scarlet. She’s an easy-going girl with a heart of gold. Scarlet is dog-friendly, and did well meeting various other dogs here at the rescue, but prefers mellow dogs like herself. We could see Scarlet being the best of friends with a slower senior dog, or a mellow, low energy bulldog type. Scarlet is a very go-with-the-flow kind of girl. She sits for treats, and takes them so gently. She’s pretty relaxed in her crate, watching the world go by, but may at times remind you of her presence when you walk by. She’ll give a few little whines in attempt to get some bellyrubs or treats out of you. Scarlet is a great car-rider, perfectly relaxed curled up on the backseat! Scarlet has spent time with kids as young as 12 here at the rescue, and she’s done well with them! We could see Scarlet living the family dog lifestyle with older kids that understand her couch potato vibe. Scarlet is mellow enough that she won’t need much for you, she’s okay with quiet nights in and a spot on the couch to call her own. She’s also friendly and sweet enough to thrive in a socially active home. This gorgeous Rottie girl is just looking for forever love, she’s not too picky. She would do well in a home with other easy-going dogs, but she’s loving and people-focused enough to thrive as your only child. Scarlet is ready to meet you, and knowing her- it will be love at first sight. We are willing to test Scarlet with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Story
We are absolutely thrilled to introduce Gunner! Gunner has completely stolen our hearts, and we couldn’t love him more if we tried. He’s the total package, and we’re so excited for you to get to know him too! Let’s cover the basics quickly- Dog-friendly? Yes! Kid-friendly? Yes! Cat-friendly? Yes! House-trained? Yes! Crate-trained? Yes! Great car rider? Absolutely! Gunner is currently being fostered by an amazing dog groomer, which means he gets to meet and socialize with a wide variety of dogs every week and is committed to his role as "People Greeter" leaving everyone smiling. His foster mom shared that he has played with so many different breeds and various sizes- from Huskies to Yorkies and everything in between. One of his amazing traits is his ability to adjust his play style to match his playmate. He can bounce and chase just as well as he can turn on his rough and tumble wrestling side. Take a look then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/LM9QqycWlJs When we met Gunner, we saw the same thing—he’s fantastic at reading other dogs and adapting to their energy. Whether he’s romping around with rowdy playmates or calmly hanging out with more reserved dogs, Gunner shines. This ability to connect with other dogs is such a special quality. You can see all his meet-and-greets and play styles in his adoption video! It’s worth repeating- Gunner is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and incredibly well-mannered. He goes into his crate willingly at night or when his foster is away, without any whining or destructive behavior. He is eager to please so we anticipate training and meeting expectations will come easy and his affectionate nature will melt your heart. Gunner loves giving kisses and does the most adorable playful bow when he’s having fun with other dogs. His facial expression during playtime is priceless. He’s a dream car companion—he’ll lay quietly in the back seat, and you might even forget he’s there. Everything about him points to being the perfect companion whether its a movie night in or a weekend adventure. And he is absolutely ready to be a family man, Gunner has been around children as young as 2 years old and as old as 10, and he’s done beautifully with them- calm and gentle while also being a perfect playmate. His outgoing and confident nature shows in his unbothered approach to life in a busy world. Fireworks, lawnmowers, thunder storms, cars, strollers, etc. there is not one thing yet that he hasn't approached with ease and confidence. He loves going for walks, exploring the beach, and meeting new people. The best part is that his welcoming presence draws people to him and he loves it! Gunner lives with multiple cats 🐱 they will sometimes free roam but most of the time they like to hide and cuddle in their cat trees. Gunner leaves them alone and does not try to lay with them. Thanks to his well-rounded personality, Gunner could easily be an apartment boy or the classic, house with a yard type. Whether you are having friends over or stopping in to visit your bestie and their dog, Gunner will be the best host and a perfect guest. Its easy to imagine him in so many versions of home-life because of how solid his character is. Perfect wingman or family man, your sense of security or a fun-seeking sidekick- Gunner is ready! He’s ready to find his forever family and share his big heart with you! Questions? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! My name is Fionna and I am a 4 year old, 90lb rottweiler/shepherd mix. I am looking for my own forever family. I had a family, but they couldn’t keep me. Now I’m living with a trainer and I’m feeling pretty lucky, because I’ve learned all kinds of things and I just know my new forever family will really love me for always. I have been ecollar trained and off leash trained. I am also potty trained and crate trained and I am smart as can be, so I’d be happy to learn even more stuff, if you want me to. I am good with dogs of all sizes and sweet with kids, too. I have been around pretty tiny kids, so as long as the mom and dad are dog savvy, I should be fine with kiddos of all ages. Altho remember…I’m 90lbs! haha. I could probably stand to lose a few…we could do that together! I mentioned I’m off-leash trained…let’s take a hike together! If you’re looking for a really good girl, I could be the one for you! Story
Hunter, it was given to me by an uncle who currently has Hunter's parents a husky named Daysi and the rotwille named Ruchy. Hunter has been with me for 3 years where we have had fun and explored many places. Although Hunter did not receive training, he behaves very well and has lived with children from 1 to 19 years old and has never been bitten. The reason why Hunter needs a new house is that his sister, who takes care of him, is going to university and by regulation she cannot take him. Furthermore, he will be alone because his family is busy and we don't want him to stay locked up all day. With no one to play with

Story
If you're the kind of person who loves a bear hug, sees treasures in other people's trash and who wakes up ready for adventure, then I might just be your soulmate! My name is Kobe, and I'm a mystery mix 6-year-old in need of a like-minded human. Listen, I LOVE life! I'm an active guy who just can't wait to get out and experience everything from breakfast to wrestling my dog buddies to walks and hikes. My favorite is being a 70-pound lap dog because as much as I love exploring the world, I REALLY love showering humans with affection.I would be willing to trade the right humans unlimited loyalty and love in exchange for a home to call my own. I am house trained and I sleep in a crate at night, and with proper introductions, I get along great with other pups. But I admit I do love to get into trash cans and eat whatever food humans leave laying around. I also can't live with cats and I could use some help perfecting my leash skills. I might be too much for small children because I am an enthusiastic dude who, as I've said, loves to snuggle - or is it huggle? I just love HUMANS!Here's the deal - you will not meet a more joyful middle-aged mutt than me. So if you're active and looking for happiness in pup form, let's make each other's dreams come true!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Kobe, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJanuary 21, 2025, 6:50 am

Story
Stevie can be reactive in certain situations. Her triggers include receiving treats around other dogs when off-leash and, occasionally, her food bowl, though this behavior is inconsistent. She feels comfortable around familiar people and, when on-leash and given commands, does not engage with other dogs or strangers. However, she may show reactivity toward some dogs and people when off-leash. In her home environment, Stevie can be unpredictable around children and dogs she has been exposed to for a few days. While she may initially play well with kids, sudden movements or the presence of food can provoke an aggressive reaction. Despite these behaviors, Stevie is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being close to her person. She adapts well to varying energy levels and is generally not a frequent barker. Occasionally, she may bark in the backyard, but this is easily controlled with the command “No Bark, Treat.” I frequently travel and rely on trusted dog sitters or her training facilit

Story
Meet Rio, a pocket sized boxer mix that is attentive and loyal to people. Rio is a well-behaved dog who walks beautifully on a leash, needing only minimal corrections. He’s people-focused, often checking in with his handler during walks and around other dogs. He would love to go on hiking adventures or walks around the neighborhood. Rio could live in apartment due to his smart size and leash skills. But a home with a yard to roam in would be enjoyable for him too! Rio is gentle and relaxed, accepting touch with ease and even allowing himself to be picked up and carried without fuss. He does well with a quick verbal correction and shows no signs of resource guarding affection. While he gets along fine with cats when they’re on the ground, he may chase them if they jump onto high surfaces, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Rio is best suited for a home with a medium to low-energy dog or with a family where he can enjoy being both independent and affectionate. He would do well with kids and would make a great family dog! If you're looking for a loyal and attentive companion, Rio might just be the perfect match for you! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Marian is a 1-year-old black and white pittie mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! 💖 Whether it’s long walks on the beach, hiking, or just splashing around in the sprinkler, Marian is ready to be your partner in all things fun and adventurous! Marian is an incredibly good girl who gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, dogs, and even chickens! She loves watching the chickens throughout the day and being gentle with everyone around her. Marian is quiet and peaceful, enjoying tranquility but also loving playtime, especially with kids. Her foster family says she’s a darling, looking for her forever family to share love and joy with. https://youtu.be/G4VUxqLAX7c Marian dreams of a family with kids who want to play and a yard where she can run and explore. She enjoys pack walks with her seven foster mates and does great with leash greetings in the yard. Marian is working on her crate training and loves to tuck herself into her crate with her toys or curl up for a rest. She gets along famously with all the dogs in her foster home, especially the Chihuahua! While she needs a bit of leash work, Marian corrects easily and loves learning new things. When it comes to cats, Marian had a little interest in our resident cat at first, but once he jumped up into the cat tree, she let it go. At home, she has no interest in the cats and even gets bullied by a new one without reacting. 🐾 Marian is still a young pup, so she needs a family ready to commit to training, socialization, and all the fun (and chaos) that comes with puppyhood. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Marian is a quick learner eager to master new skills every day. Her intelligence and willingness to please make her a joy to train. She’s perfect for walks, hikes, and showing off around the neighbourhood. Marian is a star in the making! 🌟 Ready to make memories and share endless adventures? Adopt Marian and embark on a journey filled with fun, love, and joy! 🐾💕 https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66a290a863fe2b6f240eaec6 Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $775.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
