This handsome 6 year old fella is looking for his forever home! He will need a family that understands and knows his breed (or similar) and is willing to help him get into the best shape possible. Big Papa will require prescription food to help him lose weight for the time being. He also still needs to see the vets concerning some ear issues, so please keep in mind that this may require long-term care. Papa would prefer children 10 and up and to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption. Please keep in mind rotties are a unique breed and we encourage our rottie lovers to come meet this handsome chunk as soon as possible! Hey there! I’m Dunkin, but you can call me Dunky or Dunk-a-roo. I’m a two-year-old Rottie mix, and I’m here to steal your heart with my goofy, lovable personality. Weighing in at 63 pounds, I’m a big boy with an even bigger heart. I’m heartworm negative and incredibly smart—I’ve already learned hand signals for sit, lay down, and wait, thanks to the two little girls in my foster home who work with me daily. I’m doing great in my crate at night. I’ve only marked once in the house, and I’m very gentle with the girls, taking treats ever so softly. I’m also working on my leash manners, and I’m making great progress! I love belly rubs, kids, other dogs, and even the cat at my foster home. I’m crate trained, housebroken, and I don’t jump on furniture. My ideal home would be with an active family who has a large fenced-in backyard where I can play ball and tug-of-war. One thing to note—I have a bit of a weakness for stuffed animals. The kiddos have learned to put them away, or else they might disappear! If you’re looking for a smart, gentle, and loving companion, I’m your guy. I’m ready to make a family very happy!
