Story
Missy is almost 5 years old. She was the runt of the litter. She is a great dog, very sweet and loves to be pet. She is house trained and crate trained. She doesn’t need a lot of activity but would love a walk to sniff. She likes treats but will take hostage of a bone. Unfortunately she has developed littermate syndrome to her sibling and has gotten aggressive towards them. I’ve been having to keep them separate which is getting impossible to do with 2 small children. Missy is great with our older dog and other dogs we meet. We feel this is in her best interest. She is so sweet and will be missed!

Story
Mocha is my beautiful Rottweiler, and this is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. I got her from a breeder who has since passed away, and she has been an incredible companion. She is 4 years old, full of life, playful, quiet, gentle, and incredibly affectionate. She has no aggressive tendencies and truly just wants love and closeness. Mocha will come with her crate, toys, and her shot records. She does have a peanut butter allergy, but aside from that she has no food aggression and eats on command. She has never had issues around other animals and she’s lived peacefully with a cat her entire life, and while she hasn’t played with other dogs much, she never shown aggression toward them. Rehoming her is heartbreaking, but due to a new job opportunity and after exhausting every other possible option, I’m left with no choice. My only wish is to find her a safe, loving home where she can continue to be cherished the way she deserves.

Story
Hi, I’m Deja. I’m a big girl with a gentle, easygoing nature. I enjoy my toys and a little playtime, but I’m just as happy taking a relaxed walk or settling in close for some affection. I walk nicely without pulling and love soaking up attention, scratches, and quiet companionship. I’m friendly, steady, and incredibly sweet, the kind of dog who makes you feel at home just by being near. If you’re looking for a loyal, calm companion who loves connection and closeness, I’d love to meet you.

Story
Meet Rocky! Rocky is a handsome Rottie–Bully mix who is 4 years old (turning 5 in June). I’ve had him since he was a puppy, and he has grown into an extremely smart, loyal, and well-trained dog. Rocky thrives with a confident owner who is comfortable with larger dogs and able to provide clear leadership. He loves playing fetch and is very food-motivated, which makes training and bonding fun and rewarding. Rocky gets along well with my other dog and can do well with some dogs, though he prefers slow introductions and may not be compatible with every dog. Unfortunately, Rocky had a negative experience where a child hurt him, and since then he does not do well around children. For this reason, he would do best in an adult-only home. Rocky will thrive in a home where he receives daily walks, regular playtime, and mental engagement. He’s a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys being active and spending quality time with their dog.

Story
I’m looking for an exceptional person/family to take care of Zeus. He’s an awesome boy and has a great spirit, true old man at heart but still shows his youth in his burst of energy. Zeus will be 5 years old come this April and is up to date on shots. We adopted him at the Chesapeake spca back in 23 and life has gone in a different direction then planned. Times are a lot busier now and as much as Zeus is loved and means the world to us, we know that he can he more attention and time with people or outdoors. We’re both out of the house too much for him, it’s not fair to him and we’d like a better life in that aspect.

Story
Meet Bianca! Bianca is a sweet Doberman Pinscher mix with an active and excitable nature. She`s a happy follower who prefers to go with the flow. She is working through her anxiety (including Separation Anxiety), so it`s best if she is safely crated to prevent her anxiety from doing any damage inside the home when unsupervised. Bianca loves hard chew toys, running and playing - a high-spirited girl ready to fit right into a loving home.
