Story
Hi, I’m Odie. I’m a 4‑year‑old, 65‑pound black Rottweiler mix looking for a new home where I can feel safe, understood, and supported. My life didn’t start out easy. I was found on the side of the road as a tiny puppy with my two siblings. They found homes, and I stayed with the person who loved me most. Because of that rough beginning, I’ve carried a lot of anxiety and fear into adulthood, but I’m trying hard every day. I’m neutered, house‑trained, and on Reconcile to help with my anxiety. Being neutered has helped me, too. I’m nervous with new people at first, but once I trust you, I bond deeply. I’m very gentle with my family’s baby — she’s five months old — and I’ve never been anything but sweet around her. I haven’t been around other children, so older, dog‑savvy kids would be best for me. I’ve only been around other dogs when I was boarded, and the staff said I did well, but I haven’t lived with dogs myself. I’m not good with cats. I’m playful, smart, and I love my toys. I get the zoomies, I know commands like sit, speak, and shake, and I really do want to please. I just need someone who understands how to guide me. My anxiety shows up in different ways. I can be protective of my person, especially my mom, and I may bark or growl when strangers come near her. I also struggle with the crate — it scares me — and getting me inside can be tough. When I’m left alone, I do best when I’m given access to just one room. My family even set up a baby monitor so they could talk to me and help me feel safe. Since the baby arrived, I’ve been more stressed and sometimes get into things like trash or random objects. I’m not trying to be bad — I’m overwhelmed and unsure how to cope. My family has tried so hard, but with a new baby and my anxiety increasing, they know I need someone who can give me more time, structure, and confidence than they can right now. I’m looking for a home with an experienced dog owner — someone patient, steady, and confident. Someone who understands fear‑based behaviors and can set clear boundaries while still being gentle. I’m not a match for a timid handler or a first‑time dog owner. I need someone who will help me feel safe, not overwhelmed. Once I trust you, I’m loyal, loving, playful, and full of potential. I just need the right person to help me continue learning how to navigate the world. If you think you might be that person, I’d love the chance to meet you. My family is committed to finding the right home for me and will support a smooth transition. I’m worth the effort, and I’m ready for my next chapter. I’m located in Beckley, WV, but I can be transported to other states. A transport fee may apply.

Story
Tyson has been part of our family since he was 5 weeks old. We are moving to Guam for 2 years and are unable to take him. I have tried for months to find a long-term foster, but unfortunately, I haven't been successful. Tyson is a 120-pound gentle giant who is house-trained, crate-trained, and incredibly loving. He's happiest relaxing with his family but still enjoys walks, playing in the yard, and romping around in the snow. He loves a cool bath on a hot day but refuses to get in a pool or the ocean (we've tried!). He is in great health, gets along well with our cat and small dog, and has never shown any signs of aggression. As he's gotten older, he prefers calmer play and doesn't have the same patience for rough, high-energy dogs, but he does well with supervision. We will ensure all vaccinations are up to date and have him neutered before we leave. Tyson is family, and our only goal is to find him a safe, loving home where he will be comfortable and loved.

She charges after tennis balls and brings them right back to you.Diamond seems trained and experienced. She has been given love and attention and is ready to find a new home and give and receive that love and attention once again.Diamond can be trusted roaming free when left alone although she might whine a little. (She misses your company, right?!?!)Diamond will growl when anyone (esp another dog) gets near her food. That's a good girl giving a warning that you are too close to her food. GOOD GIRL!After knowing only one family her whole life, we are looking to find a forever home for her now.Diamond is currently in a back kennel so come on in and just ask to meet her!
