Story
Barkley is a sweet 5 yr old rottie mix. She has been in rescue over 3 years. She needs to find her forever home. She does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. She has no issues

Story
Julia Grace aka Jules came into the rescue last year. She was adopted by a friend of her fosters with the goal of doing therapy dog work. Jules has had a ton of training and has passed her therapy dog testing and even earned her Farm Dog title with the AKC. Unfortunately, not long after adopting Jules her adopter had some personal issues come up and Jules has been splitting her time between her foster and her adopter. With things not working out on a personal level it’s been decided to try and find Jules a more stable home where she can get on with her life. She is an active girl who absolutely LOVES going out and about. Fantastic in the car and extremely brave. Literally, we’ve found nothing that pauses her. She could go in pretty much any direction and while she hasn’t done much in the past month it won’t be hard to get her polished back up. Housebroken, good with dogs, tested fine with cats, does have a herding drive so will herd cattle or horses. In Warrenton VA and fully vetted.

Story
Rottie loves, don’t let this girl pass you by! She is absolutely stunning, very sweet and trainable. She is great with other dogs and tested fine with a cat. She is a very clean slate, she was an unhomed backyard litter and was just living with her sister. No bad habits to untrain, just get busy and finish your way.

Rosie came to us extremely pregnant from SouthWest Va. She is such a sweet girl and absolutely adores children. She loves to play with other dogs but she doesn't appreciate growling or loud play styles. She thinks the other dog is trying to hurt you and will react but nothing vicious. A meet and greet with other dogs is required

Story
Rosa is a rottweiler who weighs about 90-100 pounds and is guessed to be around 6-8 years old. Rosa was looking pretty rough when she found herself in a high-kill shelter in SW Va. Since coming to us, she has flourished! Rosa is a smart girl who knows how to sit and shake hands. She loves food and is willing to work for it. She is big and strong but is well behaved for her foster mom. We are looking for a strong, competant owner for Rosa who does not have other pets. We would love to see Rosa in her very own home with her very own family. A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other "slow to adopt" dogs! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
