Zelda and her sister Quintana were brought to our rescue partner in Texas when their Rottweiler mom's owner was surprised by a litter of puppies. They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that holds true with these girls! While her sister Quintana may charge into new adventures, Zelda prefers to take things slow—peeking out from behind a couch, watching first, and stepping forward only when she feels ready. Zelda is a soft, sensitive soul. Once she warms up, you’ll see her whole personality blossom: quiet tail wags, sweet little kisses, and a calm, cuddly side that will melt you. She loves gentle voices, patient people, and warm laps where she can feel secure. Toys are fun, too, and she loves all her pup friends she's making at Heartland! Because she came from an unplanned litter, Zelda is getting the supportive start she needs now. She’ll thrive in a home that can offer consistency, encouragement, and positive training to help build her confidence as she grows. Zelda is a very special girl who may not show her true glorious, funny, outgoing personality when she first meets someone. We hope her videos speak to what she is truly like with us! It doesn't take long for her to open up, though! We hope people understand how overwhelming these changes are for our pups, and that Zelda will open up in a home just as she did within one day with us! Zelda’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.

Quintana and her sister Zelda were brought to our rescue partner in Texas when their Rottweiler mom's owner was surprised by a litter of puppies. They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that holds true with these girls! Quintana is the more outgoing of the two sisters; super sweet, healthy, beautiful, and great with the other canine friends she's making at Heartland! Quintana is the extrovert for sure, and she has a great bubbly personality, and is also just as affectionate as her sister. Even though they came from an unplanned litter, Quintana is getting the start she deserves now—vet care, socialization, and the chance to grow into a confident, well-mannered family dog. She’s looking for adopters committed to positive reinforcement, consistency, and lots of affection as she grows into her big-dog body. Quintana’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.

And I am one of them, but I am THE CUTEST, tHE SMARTEST and the HAPPIEST of ALL of them :) Penelope is my name and it may be a little of challenge to spell it but there is no other challenge with me ;) I have been treated for my cherry eyes (no not like the topping of a sundae :) and my heart worms and now it is OUR TIME! I am sweet and cuddly and loving and will LET YOU KNOW when you need to love on me more :D I am great with other dogs and love to play play play!! Alfalfa has so many meanings. To horse people alfalfa is a rich and green leafy food :) To dog people, Alfalfa, means ME!!! I have not lead the most "leafy" life though. I was FINALLY saved from an extreme hoarding situation - I was waiting my whole life to leave that "life" behind!! And I am SO grateful to the ladies who have taken over a year to save 65 of the 87 dogs I lived with AND are still working to get more out! I am a shy when u first meet me, but don't let that de-suade you! I will warm up and you will be so so grateful that you gave me the time to open up to you and show you my steady and grateful side, I am more of a loner than a lot of hoarding dogs are, I actually would be fine with or without another dog or cat. I am slow to trust but once I trust you I am a quiet and loving companion :) Only on my terms. I have been through a lot and just need the most wonderful, patient, laid back and quiet family!! I know you are OUT THERE!! Look onto my chocolate dreamy eyes, and get that application in! I am waiting.....
