Story
Meet Wasabi!Date of Birth: February 13, 2023Wasabi is a reserved but sweet little guy with a kind-hearted soul. He may start off a bit shy, but once you make contact, he’s all about the love and attention. Wasabi welcomes pets and quickly warms up, nuzzling into the volunteers at the cattery for extra affection. He's okay with being held and will happily curl up with you once he feels comfortable. His quiet nature and gentle demeanor make him a calm and loving companion.Wasabi is Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) positive, meaning he has a compromised immune system. FeLV-positive kitties thrive best when they are either the only cat in the home or with other FeLV-positive friends. With the right care and regular veterinary check-ups, many FeLV-positive cats lead happy and fulfilling lives.Wasabi is fully vetted and ready for his forever home, including vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick treatment, neutering, and microchipping. To inquire about adopting Wasabi, please contact Stefanie at 951-570-4625 or email Stefanie@sierrapacificfurbabies.com.Wasabi’s adoption fee is $150.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Welcome to Act 2 Rescue where you become part of our A2R family! Adoption is an important time in your life and we are grateful to be a part of it. We take pride in offering you a personalized adoption experience with continuing behavioral support as needed. -Mindy Gould, CEO Zaya, named after a Russian pet name meaning “bunny,” was the first born in a litter of five. He came into the world on July 24, 2025 around 6:38am. He is also the only gray sibling! Zaya is our wannabe alpha-male: he tries to act tough and assertive but he’s really cautious, sometimes timid, and absolutely loves to be petted. He will sit right in front of your vacuum cleaner and try to swat at it while you’re cleaning though! Zaya also has the sweetest meow (and often has a lot to say) and purrs very loudly when he gets pets and cuddles. He loves to run around and play with his siblings, his mom, and his foster uncle - he’s very comfortable around other cats. Zaya also loves to play with strips of paper and small pieces of cardboard and, of course, loves Churu treats. If you’ve been looking for a lifelong companion, he’s here waiting for you. *Note:  A2R kitties are all sterilized, fully vaccinated (if old enough), socialized in private homes not a cattery, they usually receive high end cat food, probiotics, & regular health care. We also provide 30 days of Petcademy free to support transition into your new home as well as having a professional cat behavior coach on staff to support your needs. We take pride in going above and beyond in our customer and kitty service. When you adopt from us you become part of our A2R family and join a community through our social media as well. Be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and You Tube. _______________________________________________________________________  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please be aware we are a small foster based rescue in Riverside, California. Our volunteers often have other jobs/careers as well. We are not a government funded shelter and all of our donations including adoption donations are used to run the rescue and help the animals in our care. Since we are no kill, higher fees for in demand breeds help us cover critical care.  We are always in need of volunteers, donations, and fosters. Please excuse any wait times as we are often inundated with emergencies or short staffed due to the overpopulation crisis. You can learn more about us on our website or follow us here.   Steps 1-2  of the ADOPTION PROCESS must be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS or take deposits.  To keep animals healthy,  we limit  foster based meet & greets  to people fully qualified to adopt them.   No animals can be held without a $75 deposit. Deposits cannot be refunded if you change your mind, they are to hold a cat and can result in other adopters being told they cannot adopt. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.  Application:  Log into our website and complete the adoption application at link below: Applications :  Forms (rescuegroups.org) 2. Virtual Home Check: Once your application is approved, check back if you haven't been scheduled for a virtual home check within 48 hours.  A virtual home check to ensure safety of your residence for your kitty (not perfect cleanliness). You will be told during the visit if you pass.  3. Official meet & greet with your kitty at an adoption event, foster care, or adoption center depending on location of the kitty.   We only have a few  volunteers,  so we apologize at times we fall behind due to high demand of some cats.  5. Sign adoption contract and, if appropriate, foster to adopt clause. 6. Pay adoption fee via zelle using act2rescue@gmail.com (not our phone number) or using cash. We can accept cards at adoption events but the terminal charges fees that are pretty high so it's not the best option.  7. Take your kitty home. Be sure to isolate kitty while they adjust to your home. We may check in from time to time to be sure you do not need any additional support because we love hearing how our kitties are doing. As volunteer staff, happy stories are literally our paycheck.  8. Check out our website https://act2rescue.org for resources, blogs and info on how to best take care of your new kitty. Our professional behavior coach is available via text to assist you with transition as well. We also have a Facebook group to interact with our behavior coach and other kitten care experts, as well as our A2R family like you! ****Please note, we do not have dedicated staff for phone lines so please text instead of calling. If the cat/kitten is listed, they are available. However, they could have pending applications or meet and greets scheduled. Filling out an application and approval does not obligate you to adopt the kitty. If they are not a fit...we have plenty of other kitties for adoption. This kitty has received at least two FVCRP vaccines, rabies if over 4 months, Revolution for fleas/ticks/heartworms/stomach parasites/ear mites, de-wormer, sterilization*, and microchip (you must register for it to work but it's free).  All kitties are given a general wellness check by a veterinarian prior to sterilization.  Deposits: The only way we can hold a kitty is with a non-refundable (if you decide not to adopt within 2 weeks not if we void the adoption) deposit of $75. We reserve the right to void the adoption up until the point the contract is signed. If we cancel the adoption (for kitty health or other issues) we will refund your deposit. If you wait longer than 2 weeks, we cannot hold the kitty due to space constraints. Your deposit could be used on another kitty. If you decide not to adopt at all, any deposit will go to the care of animals rescued with us and may be written off as a donation.   Foster to Adopt: Kittens must be 2 lbs or 8 weeks and fixed to be adopted. This will be noted in the approximate available date. If a kitty is unable to be fixed in a timely manner, they may foster to adopt. This would be all adoption paperwork and donations would be exchanged and the kitten would go home. Adoption paperwork will have a clause that it is not final until animal is sterilized.  Once the sterilization appointment arrives you must bring them in to be sterilized or the animal will have to be returned to the rescue. You may also have them sterilized on your own and show proof to the rescue. Once sterilized the adoption will be complete. We normally do not do these in this manner but due to extreme situations they may arise. Final health checks are done during sterilization. Any unknown health issues would also allow you to choose a different cat.   Failure to comply with sterilization will result in returning the animal to us without refund of donations. Breeds:  We cannot guarantee breed but do our best to identify possible breeds based on their appearancxe and personality. If you DNA test your furry friend, let us know the results. It is fun to see what the kitty actually is and how close our guess is. Please know not all DNA companies test for all breeds and the science is still catching up so it may adjust later to have breeds we saw. We like to know so we can improve our analysis too.   We cannot guarantee health but go to great lengths to have healthy kitties. Kitties do not live in a cattery but in private fosters for this reason.  Snap Testing: We do not test for FELV/FIV in healthy animals as it is often incorrect in animals under 6 months and can be a false positive. False negatives also give a false sense of security. These tests are best done if an animal is unhealthy to determine disease.  https://www.uwsheltermedicine.com/library/resources/why-are-some-shelters-no-longer-testing-all-cats-for-felv-and-fiv May 11, 2026, 10:27 pm

Adoption is an important time in your life and we are grateful to be a part of it. We take pride in offering you a personalized adoption experience with continuing behavioral support as needed. -Mindy Gould, CEO Hi, I’m Bluey I’m a stunning Russian Blue mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I can be a little shy at first, but give me a little time and I’ll show you just how sweet and loving I really am. I’m the kind of kitten who believes life should always be a little bit fun... whether I’m exploring, playing, or turning something ordinary into my next adventure. When I’m not busy being adorable and entertaining myself, I’m right by your side. I love to “chat” (I have thoughts, okay?) and I’m always happy to keep you company. And when it’s time to slow down, I’m all about cuddles, purring nonstop like it’s my full-time job. I would do best in a home with another kitty friend as I really enjoy having a companion to play with and help me feel confident.  I’m the kind of kitten who becomes your best friend... the one who follows you around, keeps you company, and makes sure you never feel alone. Basically… if you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a playful streak and a whole lot of love to give, I might just be your guy!   *Note:  A2R kitties are all sterilized, fully vaccinated (if old enough), socialized in private homes not a cattery, they usually receive high end cat food, probiotics, & regular health care. I’m a sweet, gentle Russian Blue mix with the softest fur and greenest eyes. I can be a little shy at first and like to take my time getting comfortable in new places, but once I feel safe, my playful and loving personality starts to shine.  One thing that's really important for me is having another kitty friend in the home. Having a cat buddy helps me feel confident, comfortable, and brave, and I love having a friend to play, cuddle, and explore with. My favorite things are laser toys, feather wands, and chasing toys around with my feline sidekick! I may not be the first kitten to run up and say hello, but if you give me little patience and love, you'll discover a sweet, silly little guy who's absolutely worth the wait!    *Note:  A2R kitties are all sterilized, fully vaccinated (if old enough), socialized in private homes not a cattery, they usually receive high end cat food, probiotics, & regular health care. Story
This regal beauty was rescued by a local trapper who recognized her potential beyond her lost and timid exterior. Queen Anne has gracefully transitioned into foster care, where she has blossomed back to health and spirit. Initially shy, her true desire for companionship and affection was soon unveiled through the gentle patience and love provided by her caretakers. Queen Anne is now ready to reign over a forever home that cherishes her as the centerpiece of their world. While she tolerates the company of a few feline subjects, she prefers not to be overwhelmed by too many, seeking a tranquil kingdom where she can thrive without the hustle of a crowded court. A lover of leisure, she enjoys playful engagements with her toys as much as the serene comfort of a cozy bed for her royal naps. Her ideal foster or forever adopter will be someone who values patience and understands that with time, Queen Anne will reveal her deeply affectionate, loyal nature. ** She needs to be in a home with another friendly cat that she can nurture and groom. Or she can be adopted with another friendly Purrty Pals cat.
