This sweet boy adores chin scratches and soft pets, and the best way to win his heart is with patience, kindness, and a little encouragement with string toys. He jumps up on his back legs when he is excited like Tigger. He shakes his tail when he is excited to see you. Ivan takes time to trust humans after experiencing a heartbreaking loss—his original person surrendered him to the shelter after four years, leaving him confused and alone. Just in the nick of time, DREAM stepped in and rescued Ivan on what would have been his final day. Once he feels safe and comfortable, Ivan’s playful personality begins to shine. As his confidence grows, Ivan becomes a true lovebug. He’ll even come when called—about 50% of the time (he is a cat, after all!). Bean came to my own a few years ago from the streets of Pasadena. He was very skinny and also quite friendly. He loves attention and enjoys being the only cat in the house. He loves to chase shadows and is very playful. He enjoys hiding in tunnels and surprising you on the other side. He also likes to go out on walks and he has harness training- he will be most happy with daily walks. He can be quite vocal about what he wants and he’s got a big personality. He enjoys cuddles on his terms and likes to be the only cat for you. Unknown how he is around children and dogs but he is best as a single pet in the house I think. I gave it my best shot to have him get along with my two other cats but it really has not worked out and I’ve tried it all. He can be quite loud about what he wants so please be prepared. He will come with his favorite toys, food and litter. Best suited for someone that wants a playful, vocal and active companion.
