Story
🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster homeCotton is a 10-month-old Samoyed–Spitz mix weighing around 10kg, with fluffy fur and the sweetest smiling face. True to the name “Cotton,” this beautiful pup has a soft, warm presence that instantly melts hearts. The way Cotton looks up at people with a wagging tail and bright eyes makes it impossible not to fall in love.Cotton was rescued from a city shelter just before euthanasia. Despite experiencing such a difficult start at such a young age, Cotton has never lost trust in people. This pup is incredibly affectionate, gentle, and full of bright energy. Cotton absolutely loves human companionship and is happiest simply being near people — following them around, asking for attention, and greeting everyone with excitement and love.Cotton also gets along very well with other dogs. With a friendly and easygoing personality, this pup adapts well to social environments and could do wonderfully in a home with another dog companion. However, Cotton is still very much a puppy. At only 10 months old and currently around 10kg, there is still plenty of growing left to do. Future adopters should keep in mind that Cotton may continue to grow both in size and strength as maturity approaches. Most importantly, Cotton has never experienced life in a real home before. Having grown up in a shelter environment, everyday routines such as house training, leash manners, learning to stay home alone, and understanding household rules are all still new experiences. Like any young puppy, Cotton may have accidents, bursts of energy, playful curiosity, and moments of clumsy learning along the way. These are not “problem behaviors,” but simply part of growing up and learning about the world. Cotton needs a family who understands that patience, guidance, and consistency are essential during this stage of life. With love and time, Cotton will grow into an incredibly loyal and loving companion who bonds deeply with the people trusted most.Cotton is the kind of dog who shines brighter the more love is given. This sweet pup brings warmth, joy, and happy energy wherever they go. Still young, playful, and full of life, Cotton is waiting for a family who will cherish not only the beautiful appearance, but also the tender heart behind those smiling eyes. Once, Cotton almost lost the chance at life. Now, this special pup is hoping to find a forever family who will never let go again 🤍

QUICK FACTS Name: Taya Age: About 5 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Samoyed Mix Color: White Weight: 27kg / 59lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the euthanasia list at the city shelter. Now I’m safe and ready to start a new chapter with a loving family of my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Taya, a fluffy and lovable girl with a big heart—and yes, a little extra fluff on my body too! When we first meet, I can be slightly cautious at first, but it doesn’t take long— I warm up and become comfortable. Once I do, you’ll see how much I love affection. I enjoy being petted and even love being brushed. I’m very gentle with people and get along well with other dogs. Even though I’m a big girl and other dogs rarely challenge me, I’m a true peace-lover and have no interest in fighting. I’m a dog who is smart, sweet, and full of quiet charm. With a loving family and some healthy adventures together, I’ll become the happiest companion you could ask for.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I might be a bit shy when we first meet. But if you offer me a tasty treat, I’ll happily take it and warm up to you quickly. Before long, we’ll be friends and you’ll be able to pet me too! I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, but with careful introduction, I’m sure I’ll get along great with them. · With Dogs: When I meet a new dog, I like to walk up and say hello. I’m friendly and curious, but I like to take things slow. I’m very gentle-hearted. Even when another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to walk away instead of getting into trouble. I like to keep things calm and friendly. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown       ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy outdoor activities like walks and exploring, and I’m always happy to spend time outside. After some fun outdoor time, I’m also very good at settling down and resting quietly at home. I have a nice balance between playtime and relaxation. I have plenty of experience going on walks, so I’m a very polite walking companion. I don’t pull on the leash and I follow my person nicely. I love calm, enjoyable walks where I can stay right by your side and explore the world together.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food from people, but if another dog comes too close while I’m eating, I might give a little growl to let them know it’s my mealtime.Sometimes when I want something — like attention, treats, or playtime — I might bark to let you know. When I’m placed in a kennel, I stay calm and settle down nicely.I’m mostly used to going potty outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever     Taya's Youtube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2684218##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Marine Boy Age: 6 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Samoyed mix Color: White (with a bit of brown colouring) Weight: 20kg / 44lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was found sitting quietly in front of a store in a neglected state. I barely moved, and my expression seemed to reflect just how exhausted and defeated I felt. It looked as though I had lost everything and didn't know where to go next. Thankfully, kind people noticed me and stopped to help. Even though I was scared and unsure, I gently followed their lead and trusted them as they brought me to the hospital for a checkup. I calmly got in and out of the car, leading people to believe I may have lived with a family before. Despite whatever I experienced in my past, I have remained a gentle and loving boy. I'm kind with people, dog friends, and even cats. While I can sometimes flinch if a hand suddenly reaches toward my head, suggesting I may not have always been treated kindly, I continue to choose trust and connection. My resilience, sweet nature, and willingness to love despite my past are just a few of the things that make me so special. Now, I'm ready to leave those difficult days behind and find a forever family who will show me the kindness, patience, and love I've always deserved.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues I require consistent management medication for my thyroid. I lost some fur due to hormonal issues and now under medication, my fur is growing back   MY PERSONALITY I'm a super sweet and friendly boy who gets along well with just about everyone I meet, including people, dogs, and even cats! I have a gentle nature and a loving personality that makes it easy for me to make friends wherever I go. I'm also a very bright boy and love learning new things. I already know commands such as sit and paw, and I pick up new lessons quickly. Because I'm so eager to learn and connect with my people, training is a great way for us to bond and have fun together. With my friendly personality, intelligence, and kind heart, I'm ready to become a wonderful companion for a lucky forever family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm super friendly with people and love receiving affection, pets, and attention. I genuinely enjoy being around humans and am always happy to make new friends. Whether it's getting scratches, cuddles, or simply spending time together, I'm happiest when I'm sharing those moments with my people. I also allow myself to be picked up and handled with ease, making me an affectionate and easygoing companion. My gentle nature and loving personality help me bond quickly with those around me, and I'm always ready to soak up a little extra love. · With Dogs: I'm friendly with my dog friends and enjoy being around other dogs. I especially tend to get along well with smaller dogs and appreciate calm, respectful interactions. Even if another dog is being a little pushy or rude, I prefer to keep the peace rather than engage in conflict. Instead of creating drama, I'll usually choose to walk away and mind my own business. My gentle and easygoing nature helps me get along well with a variety of canine companions. · With Cats: I'm gentle and respectful with cats! I've lived with cats in my temporary foster home and coexisted peacefully with them. I don't bother or chase them and have shown that I can share my space calmly with feline friends. Because of my easygoing nature and positive experience living alongside cats, I may be a great fit for a home that already has a cat companion.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler's lead nicely, making me a wonderful walking companion. I'm generally a quiet boy who rarely barks, although I may occasionally use my voice when I want attention. Because of my past experience with abandonment, I do struggle with separation anxiety and can become anxious when left alone for extended periods. I've found that long walks, exercise, enrichment activities, and treats before alone time help me settle much more comfortably. When my physical and mental needs are met, I'm able to relax and rest. However, if I haven't had a chance to burn off my energy, I may howl when left by myself. I can also be sensitive to loud yelling, particularly from men. If someone is yelling, I may become frightened and seek out a quiet place to hide until I feel safe again. Despite this, I have excellent social skills and get along very well with people, dogs, and even cats. I would do best in a home that understands my separation anxiety and is willing to continue helping me build confidence. A home with a yard would be wonderful, and ideally I would thrive with a family where someone is home often, works from home, or can provide companionship throughout the day. More than anything, I simply want to be close to my people and share life's adventures together. I also have a thyroid condition that requires ongoing medication management. My future family should be comfortable continuing this care so I can stay healthy and feel my best. Some of my fur was lost due to hormonal changes, but it's already growing back nicely. Above all, I'm a loving, gentle boy with a wonderful personality. I've been through a lot, but I continue to greet the world with kindness and an open heart. I truly deserve a family who will love me as much as I will love them.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding of my separation anxiety and willing to be patient while I adjust with my new family. I will do best in a home where I won’t be left alone for long periods of time regularly • Understanding of my ongoing medication management for thyroid • Ideally a home with a yard that I can run around in   SPECIAL NOTES If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I absolutely love being with my people. My happiest moments are spent by your side, whether we're going for a walk, relaxing at home, or simply sharing the same space. I form strong bonds with the people I love and am a deeply loyal companion. Despite everything I've been through, I've remained incredibly gentle, loving, and trusting. I get along beautifully with people, dogs, and even cats. My kind heart and sweet personality shine through in everything I do. I'm also a very smart boy who already knows commands like sit and paw, and I love learning new things. With my eagerness to please and love of treats, I'm always ready for the next lesson or adventure. What I need most is a family that understands my sensitive side and appreciates just how much love I have to give. In return, you'll gain a devoted best friend who wants nothing more than to be part of your life every step of the way.   MARINE BOY'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2760447##

Story
Meet Silver - a survivor with a soft heart and a spark of confidence. Silver's story begins in South Korea, where she was born into a world that saw her not as a companion, but as livestock. Raised on a meat farm, her early life lacked the warmth, comfort, and love that every dog deserves. But Silver's story didn't end there-it changed the day she was rescued. Despite everything she endured, Silver emerged not fearful or shut down, but remarkably open, friendly, and full of quiet confidence. It's as if she decided early on that her past wouldn't define her future. Now this beautiful Jindo/Samoyed mix carries herself with a calm, self-assured energy. She greets people-both women and men-with gentle curiosity and an easygoing charm. While her experience with children has been limited, she has shown a kind and respectful nature, making her a great match for a home with older kids who understand how to interact thoughtfully with dogs. Silver is wonderfully social with other dogs and enjoys their company, though she does have a bit of a "boss lady" streak-especially with other females. It's nothing unfriendly, just her confident personality shining through. She would do well as either a solo dog or with a compatible canine companion who respects her. On walks, she's a dream-comfortable on leash, non-reactive, and happy to explore the world by your side. She rides calmly in the car and isn't much of a barker or troublemaker at home. Silver is very food-motivated (which makes training easier!) and does best being fed separately from other dogs-not out of aggression, but enthusiasm. She simply really loves her meals. Her ideal home would have a yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy some fresh air, though with the right routine, she could adapt to apartment living. She doesn't need another dog, but she would appreciate a family that gives her structure, patience, and love as she continues settling into home life. Silver is living proof that resilience can come with a wagging tail. She's ready to leave her past behind and finally experience what it means to be loved-not as a commodity, but as family. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle spirit and a quietly confident personality, Silver might just be the one who's been waiting for you. Story
Chomani was found wandering the streets of South Korea in 2018 when she was just 8 months old and was thankfully rescued just in time from euthanasia. Since then, she's been living at the shelter without a chance to live a home-still waiting patiently for her forever family. It's hard to believe such a cheerful, lively girl has spent so long in a shelter! Chomani is incredibly friendly with people and full of bright, happy energy-if you're looking for a joyful companion, she's your girl. She has a moderate energy level indoors but really comes alive on walks! She's curious, social, and gets along well with other dogs, including her current shelter roommate. Because she's been in a shelter environment, she'll need some potty training at first, but with regular walks, she'll likely prefer doing her business outside. She enjoys brushing and bath time and handles both beautifully! On walks, she loves to explore-she might pull a little at first from excitement but soon settles into a nice rhythm. She doesn't have much car experience yet but has done well so far. Above all, she loves giving kisses and sniffing her way through the world on walks! ALL ABOUT ME Name: Haechan Age: 3 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo-Samoyed Mix Colour: White Weight: 20kg / 44lbs Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Microchipped, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY Hi, I’m Haechan — a fluffy boy with a naturally smiling face and a heart that took time to bloom. I likely spent the early part of my life as a stray, never knowing what it meant to be loved. When I first entered the shelter, I was afraid of being touched or approached and would keep my distance. But everything changed once I met patient people who helped me realize that love doesn’t hurt. Over time, I opened my heart — and now I’m ready to give it to a forever family who sees how far I’ve come.   MY HEALTH No known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a gentle, intelligent, and affectionate dog who now thrives on human connection. Once I trust you, I become incredibly loving — I give kisses, lean in close, and sometimes gently place my paws on you just to say, “I love you.” I’m loyal, sweet, and full of gratitude. Even though I was once timid, I’ve become the kind of dog who greets new people with curiosity and kindness. I have a naturally smiling face, and I really am as happy as I look now.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: These days, I show interest in both familiar and new people. I enjoy gentle pets, love being close, and happily say hello. I’m not the biggest fan of being lifted under the belly — I’ll tolerate it when needed (like getting into the car), but I’d rather keep all four paws on the ground. With Dogs: I greet other dogs politely and am especially friendly with smaller dogs. I don’t usually play, but I like being around well-mannered pups. I do best with calm introductions — if another dog becomes aggressive, I may respond defensively, so supervision during first meetings is important. With Cats: I haven’t lived with cats, but on walks I’ll look at them with curiosity and move on easily when my handler redirects me. With proper introductions, I may do well in a home with cats.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I enjoy walks, companionship, and bonding time. I have a moderate energy level and love being mentally engaged — I know “Sit” and “Shake,” and I’m currently training at Level 2 in the rescue dog program! I thrive when I’m learning and love making my people proud. After exercise or training, I enjoy settling down close to the humans I love.   TRAINING & HABITS I know basic commands and love learning I’m calm in a kennel and adjust well to new routines I do not guard food from people or dogs I rarely bark and communicate gently I’m working on becoming more confident with being handled in new situations I’m clean and well-mannered, and I walk nicely with guidance   MY IDEAL HOME I’d thrive in a home with: Patient, consistent guardians who understand Jindo-mix traits (loyalty, intelligence, sensitivity) Daily walks and enriching activities to keep me happy and balanced A calm and structured environment where I feel safe to continue blossoming A family who will respect my boundaries while celebrating how far I’ve come   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a true rescue success story — from fear to affection, from avoidance to connection. I may need time at first, but once I trust you, I give my whole heart. My smiling face isn’t just about looks — it reflects how I feel inside now that I’ve learned what love is. I’m ready to share that love with a forever family who will cherish me just as I am.   Haechan's YouTube Playlist ##2559293##
