Story
Rowley is a true cuddle-bug. While he has a bit of a mischievous streak, none of that matters when he snuggles in next to you. Or on you. Your heart will become a glorious warm puddle in your chest. He is beautifully socialized and pretty much bomb proof. His mischief includes mostly trying to steal food from the table, knocking over trash cans and squirreling his toys (and others’ toys) in his crate. He’s tall enough to look on the counter, but not tall enough to get more than a sniff. (If there’s a chair nearby, though, he is not afraid of scaling heights to get to the plate of french fries you’ve foolishly left on the counter!) He doesn’t chew anything inappropriate and has been sleeping happily all night curled up next to his foster mom on her bed. He is a strong dog who needs someone who can keep hold of his leash on walks, since he pulls to explore all the smells. He gets along with other dogs, but might be happiest as an only dog, because then he’ll get all the attention. He will bark at noises outside, but is happy to meet new people. He’ll be a great addition to any family. Story
Stumpy-Bassett Hound/Labrador Retriever (Bassador) male, ~ 1-2 yr. (March 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application to adopt. Stumpy is living in a very rural area with a family that asked for help in finding him a new home. He's used to living a family life with children and loves the children. He would be best as an only dog. He's a mixed dog but a popular mix, called a Bassador. The Bassador temperament can vary a lot depending on whether they take after their Lab or Basset Hound parent more. Generally, they are sociable and loving. We are fortunate to know how Stumpy has done, living with a family. Bassadors love attention, especially from their favorite person. If you want a dog with a very unique look who’s loyal to a fault, the Bassador could be the dog for you! Stumpy's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Hi, Im Luke! Ive had a bit of a rough start, and Im still learning to trust people, but Im making progress every day. I can be a little nervous at first and need some time to warm up, so I would probably do best in a calm, patient home where I can take things at my own pace. Im hoping to find a loving family who can give me the time I need to blossom into the sweet, loving boy I know I can be. The nice folks at RDR will update my profile when they learn more about me. I cannot wait to find a forever home where I can share all the love I've got to give. Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Story
This precious purebred Beagle girl just turned 10 years old and for the last 9 years this girl was a girl who was used as a taste tester dog for a dog food manufacturer.  In October of 2023 this girl was adopted with the great hopes of giving her the many last years of her life a new life with a family who could provide that special home she never has had.  For 15 months all was going well for her.  A quiet girl that weighs 22 pounds and is very petite for a Beagle, she learned how to be loved and give love right back.  She lived with another dog and went to work some days with her mom.  Coffee Bean was all set until a new baby entered the home and then her world changed.  She shut down and retreated and hid from her human mom and dad there in the home.  It was apparent that this girl was sadly not comfortable with a baby in the house.  This loving couple can see that Coffee Bean needs to find a different home soon so that she can readjust and find peace and quiet.  She is so very affectionate and sweet and we think that CB would be the delightful companion for a retired couple or woman who lives alone and wants to have Coffee Bean as her new best friend!  She does well with male dogs, but with female dogs she will have issues if they are bigger than her (smaller breeds are fine). She is not 100% housebroken but has few accidents and we want to be clear on that.  She lived in a kennel for 9 years and so she was not required to be housebroken 100%. She rarely has an accident! She's done well to tolerate the cat and should be fine with another cat if required.  We envision a home where someone is home a lot or can take this girl with them places.  She craves the companionship and will not do well being home alone for long hours while someone is away at work.  A  retired family where she could be a couch potato and a nice yard for her to do her beagle running and sniffing would be fabulous.  She is not a frequent barker, just the usual alerts when someone is at the door or a squirrel has entered the yard uninvited.  She just loves everybody and wants nothing but pets and cuddles!  This lovely girl is gentle and very soft in her personality with people. She is not demanding and loud and just wants a more peaceful life during her senior years.  We project another good five years or more are in her future.  Want to invite this girl into your world?  Just email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  She is ready NOW!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 20, 2025, 11:47 am

Story
❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Say hi to OhGong👋 a sweet, friendly boy with a charming black muzzle! He was found on the street in South Korea at 3 months old and taken to a high-risk city shelter along with his five other siblings. Luckily, they were rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and started living with other dogs in the local shelter. Despite some time spent at the shelter, Ohgong was given a chance to live in his current foster home in June 2023. His current foster family has been taking good care of him since, and Ohgong has learned how to harmoniously live with people with love, and now he is ready to find his forever home😊 • Personality: Friendly, Sweet, Gentle Just like when OhGong was widely known for his super friendly personality among the shelter staff, he continued to be very loving and sweet to his foster family. He loves to kiss you and be petted by you. His energy level is medium. He is usually calm at home but becomes active when playing with toys! Plus, he is such a gentle walker. • Affinity with - Dogs: Very dog-friendly! He doesn’t even bark towards other dogs. - Cats: He tends to chase cats out of curiosity but doesn’t show aggression. - Adults/Kids: Good with people in general but a little bit shy around male adults / Okay with kids. He is rather indifferent to them. • Walking Manners: Super well-mannered! Pacing with his person without pulling the leash. He responds to “Let’s go” while sniffing around. • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, going potty outdoors as well as using pee-pads indoors • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both very well. • Car Rides: Very comfortable with car rides. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Separation Anxiety: None. He showed some signs of separation anxiety at the beginning of foster, but not anymore when two months of foster passed. He spends most of his time sleeping while he is left alone at home. • Barks/Howls: Almost none. Just a little bit of barking only when greeting his family at home. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: OhGong LOOOVES playing with toys, especially squeaky ones! He seems to even prefer toys to treats. If you have an open heart and a loving home for Ohgong, please don't hesitate to apply!
