Meet Shula!She’s had a bit of a rough life so far, but has so much love to give. I’ve had her a year and a bit, adopted through a rescue.Sadly, she has never really adapted to apartment life, and it’s stressing her out more and more. She is crate trained but not fully housebroken, although in a better environment I think she’ll get there. I think she would do much better in a home with outdoor space. She loves to play in the park.When I adopted her, she had a BB gun pellet lodged in her leg and needed 15 or so teeth removed, which I took care of, and I have kept up with her care. She is fine coexisting with other dogs, but my other dog is very jealous of attention, which is another source of stress. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who loves her humans but takes some time to warm up. Even when she lashes out in fear, she’s never come close to biting anyone. I know she’ll thrive in the right home where she has space to be herself. More photos and video of playtime on request.

Blue COH is a 13 year old neutered male Schnoodle Mix who has the kind of presence that comes with having lived a lot of life. Found as a stray in Hawthorne, this sweet senior somehow ended up on his own when he should have been spending his days in a comfortable home. Now he’s ready for a quieter chapter with someone who will appreciate the little things. Blue is good with other dogs and has a gentle, settled way about him. At his age, he doesn’t need a whirlwind of excitement or a packed schedule—just a cozy place to land, a soft spot to rest, and a person who won’t overlook an older dog simply because he’s no longer a puppy. There’s something special about giving a senior dog the chance to feel safe and wanted again. Blue has plenty of love left to give, and he’d be happiest with someone who’s ready to make his golden years feel like the good years they should be. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Pepper was adopted from a shelter when she was one. She is now three.She is a shy girl at first but once she had a little time with you - all she wants is cuddles and love. She is good with kids, toddlers and babies but she’s reactive to other dogs and cats and will do best in a peaceful home.Pepper loves walks and chasing squirrels but otherwise she gives old grandma vibes - she likes to nap and lay out in the sun. She doesn’t know how to play with toys or fetch.She is a really lovely little girl who deserves love and affection and a caring person(s) to make her part of their family.We are sad to let her go, but because of changes in our circumstances, we are not giving her the time and attention she deserves and really want her to go to a loving home.

MAX: Schnoodle Mix • Neutered Male • 3 Years Old • 17 lbs MAX is a gentle soul who has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. He is a very calm and independent boy who gets along well with other dogs. He is not a dog who barks excessively or destroys things—he simply enjoys having a peaceful place where he can finally feel safe. Because of his sad past, Max is still learning that people can be kind. He may be a little reserved at first, but as he begins to feel safe and loved, his gentle personality starts to shine. All Max needs is patience, kindness, and someone willing to show him that his life can be different now. Once he trusts you, he will quietly appreciate every bit of love and security you give him. Max was surrendered to the CAC (Canine Care Center) along with several other dogs, including Karla. Max and Karla share a very special bond and find comfort in one another. They had been taken to the shelter to be euthanized by the very owner who, according to reports, had mistreated them. Thankfully, a rescuer stepped in and refused to let their story end there. Max was given a second chance—a chance to leave behind the fear and sadness of his past and discover what it feels like to be loved. Now he is learning to trust, learning to feel safe, and slowly discovering that he is worthy of kindness. Max may not ask for much. He simply wants a peaceful home, a patient person, and the reassurance that he is finally safe. After everything he has been through, Max deserves to spend the rest of his life knowing that he is loved, wanted, and never going to be abandoned again.
