MEET MADDOX…a precious, apx 4-5 yr old, tan/black tips, Poodle Mix, a little bigger than your average lovebug at 22 lbs. Maddox hails from the Orange County Shelter and as soon as I saw his adorable face, I didn’t care how big he was! He also isn’t aware than he’s a little bigger except when he’s sitting on your lap and it may not be big enough for him! When you look into his happy eyes, and he gives you grateful sweet kisses, you know that he’s a wonderful dog! Look at his smiling face!!
Maddox is great on a leash and really loves his walks. Very receptive to other dogs and gets along with everyone. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was a bit unsure and a little clingy — but it didn’t take long for him to join their four dogs in the zoomies! Once he realizes he is safe, secure and loved he will be your perpetual shadow and lap warmer! Within a week at his foster home, he learned to ask to go outside (but we never guarantee at your house)! With all the changes from the shelter, to rescue, to his foster home and ultimately to yours, Maddox will need an adjustment period to settle in, but once he has, he’ll be a happy-go-lucky cuddlebug — when he’s not playing fetch, asking for treats or showing his love and affection! The ideal family will have a yard for him to romp in, a lot of time to give him the attention and love he needs. We have learned that Maddox, while good with other dogs, wants to hog all the attention for himself and can get a little jealous of other dogs trying to get to “his” human. The right home for him will have his human around a lot. He doesn’t have separation anxiety but he does want to be with his person/people. Nobody is home 24/7, so a canine pal would be the perfect ticket for Maddox, if it’s the right pal!

Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Our event is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring pictures or video of your home and yard if we have not done a home check (preferred)! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
