Story
Meet Frankie - he's such a sweetheart! Here's what his foster mom says about him: Frankie is a handsome pup with a personality as bold as his beautiful markings. Frankie started out as the high-energy brother, but he has settled in nicely and is learning to relax a bit more. He is playful and enthusiastic, curious and clever. He loves backyard play time - running full-speed, chasing balls and chewing sticks. Being a puppy, Frankie is still learning not to use his teeth on his human friends or things around the house, but with redirection and guidance he's learning the ropes. He's smart and food-motivated and will absolutely thrive with continued training. Potty training is going well. He usually signals when he needs to go out, and towards the end of his foster stay was having very few accidents. Frankie sleeps through the night in his pen alongside his brother, and while he may miss his brother at first in his new home, he'll adjust with love and patience. Frankie is social to his core. He really wants to make friends with the resident adult dogs, and once he's given the green light by his new family's pets, he'll be an enthusiastic little brother. He loves people, loves attention, and wants nothing more than to be part of your daily life. This boy is affectionate, whip-smart, loyal, and full of potential. With time, training, and a family ready to embrace the beautiful whirlwind that is puppyhood, Frankie will become an extraordinary lifelong companion. Story
Shadow is a gentle and gorgeous four-year-old Sharpei mix with a soft white coat and an even softer heart. While he can be shy at first, especially around new people, Shadow quickly warms up and reveals his sweet, playful spirit. One of Shadow’s most endearing quirks is his signature “kangaroo hops.” When he’s excited or happy, he bounces with pure joy, turning even an ordinary greeting into a heart-melting moment. His foster describes how he lights up when they come home, leaping around the house with happiness. Shadow is both potty and crate trained, and though he’s still learning to walk confidently on a leash, he’s making steady progress. He understands simple commands like sit, down, and come, especially when there’s food involved — treats, particularly duck treats, are his greatest motivator. Once he trusts you, Shadow is very gentle when taking them. Though he doesn’t care much for toys, Shadow thrives on human connection. He's great with adults, kids, cats and other dogs. He hasn’t shown food or toy aggression, and while car rides make him nervous, his calm temperament and eagerness to please make him a wonderful companion. The ideal home for Shadow is one with a fenced in backyard, where he’ll be showered with love and patience, surrounded by people who see the joy in his quirky kangaroo hops and celebrate his gentle soul. With consistency and affection, Shadow will blossom into the devoted best friend every dog lover dreams of.

Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAt 7 years old and 65 pounds, Cappy is a handsome senior with quiet confidence and charm. He was found tied up outside the shelter with many wounds. All healed now, he's enjoying the comforts of his foster home while he waits for his forever family. His foster reports he’s an excellent house guest! This sweet boy is house-trained and caught on to his routine quickly. He’ll even let you know when it’s time to go out. His favorite place? Curled up next to his humans on a comfy couch. He sleeps soundly through the night and loves a little sunbathing during the day. Cappy has arthritis, likely from an old injury, so he keeps things low-key. Gentle strolls, soft beds, and lots of love are all he needs. He’s great on leash and enjoys short “sniffaris” around the block. When it comes to other dogs, Cappy is generally calm and polite with those his size, though he might be too much for smaller pups. With slow introductions, or as your one-and-only, he’ll shine. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving companion with soulful eyes and a wise, sweet spirit, Cappy could be your match.
