Story
Naya is a beautiful Shar-Pei and Shepherd mix with a heart full of quiet sweetness. Her journey hasn’t been easy — she came to us after wandering into someone’s backyard in Compton, clearly having survived a life of hardship and fear. It’s clear she endured abuse, but despite everything she’s been through, Naya’s spirit remains gentle, resilient, and full of hope. When Naya first arrived, she was very shy and unsure of the world around her. But with love, patience, and kindness, she’s blossoming more and more each day. She’s discovering that the world isn’t such a scary place after all, and that there are good people who will love and protect her. Naya is incredibly loving once she feels safe. She enjoys gentle pets, quiet company, and is beginning to seek out affection more and more. Her progress has been beautiful to watch, and she’s ready for a forever home where she can continue to grow and heal at her own pace. Naya would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands she needs a little extra time to trust — but once she does, the love she gives is pure and unconditional. She’s a reminder that sometimes the most broken hearts have the most love to give. If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful companion who will cherish the second chance you give her, Naya is ready to find her way into your heart.

Story
Gus is the definition of chill. When he's not trying his best to sit in your lap or rest his head against you, he's most likely sun bathing or bird watching. He was extremely tolerant and respectful of our large high-energy shepherd. He is crate trained and will often go in his crate on his own when bedtime comes around, as well as being very respectful of our space whenever we needed a break or were busy. He is not reactive at all on leash and was extremely respectful of any dogs we met in public. Gus would be perfect for a homebody or family who want a loyal companion to enjoy cuddle time.

Story
Meet Shadow, the cutest stretcher with an adorable mug. This sweet pup is ready to start his best chapter. He'll be sure to amuse by wagging his entire body in excitement and resembling a cartoon character when he dashes off. Treats and toys make him one happy camper. Shadow is an easy going boy. While he enjoys company, he is perfectly comfortable doing his own thing. He is a little timid at first and will open up once he warms up. Could Shadow be your newest family member? Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAt 7 years old and 53 pounds, Cappy is a handsome senior with quiet confidence and charm. Currently in foster care, he’s enjoying the comforts of home while he waits for his forever family—and his foster reports he’s an excellent house guest! This sweet boy is house-trained and caught on to his routine quickly. He’ll even let you know when it’s time to go out. His favorite place? Curled up next to his humans on a comfy couch. He sleeps soundly through the night and loves a little sunbathing during the day. Cappy has arthritis, likely from an old injury, so he keeps things low-key. Gentle strolls, soft beds, and lots of love are all he needs. He’s great on leash and enjoys short “sniffaris” around the block. When it comes to other dogs, Cappy is generally calm and polite with those his size, though he might be too much for smaller pups. With slow introductions, or as your one-and-only, he’ll shine. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving companion with soulful eyes and a wise, sweet spirit, Cappy could be your match.
