Story
This is Stahli - to know her is to absolutely love her! Stahli is a 3 year old boxer/boston terrier mix up for adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota!! Not only is she stunningly pretty with a shiny black coat, she's also very smart. She loves performing tricks and pleasing her people when asked to do things. She craves adoration and accolades! Her favorite things are: snuggling, playing with dogs & toys and watching the neighborhood comings and goings. She has a goofy playfulness to her when combined with her adorable underbite, makes her simply irresistible! Gotta love a good snaggletooth! Stahli will thrive in a stable home without a lot of commotion and chaos. She has a hard time processing new people entering her space which can overwhelm her at first. She needs to be allowed to approach people on her own terms. This applies at home and in crowded places. She enjoys going places & car rides, but needs you to advocate for her out in public if people rush up to her... otherwise, she'll vocalize her anxiety herself. She tends to recover quite quickly in public and recently enjoyed a fun evening out at a dog-friendly brewpub. To summarize Stahli: does she have a slight case of stranger danger, yes. But when Stahli loves you, she loves you with every fiber of her being and that will never waiver. She is a smart girl though and remembers people, so if she mistrusts someone, it can be hard to change her opinion. She is currently in a great foster home that is helping to build her confidence when meeting new people. Her new family will need to implement this new routine when visitors are coming over and coach new people through how to interact with her. AND drumroll ::: Stahli is on Facebook + Instagram ::: she'd love it if you'd follow her. She loves being a star! @adoptstahli Stahli is being fostered in NE Minneapolis. To meet her in person, please fill out an adoption application. We will reach out to you within 72 hours to arrange a meet-n-greet. If you get to pet her cute spotted belly, you've won her over! Daisy Boo is a 3 year old little love bug that only weighs 45 lbs. She was found as a stray. In a heartbreaking turn of events, we were able to locate her original owner who could no longer afford to keep her. She is longing for a family again as she wants nothing more than to just hang out with you! Daisy Boo is a low-maintenance dog that would be perfect for apartment or home living and would be a great choice for a family with children. She is smart, super fun and loves her stuffies! She’s currently enrolled in training sessions to master leash walking in urban environments around other dogs. Her former owner said she played well with other dogs. Daisy Boo would LOVE to meet you! Story
In July of 2024 my partner and I adopted Rex from the Chatsworth Animal Shelter. Rex is a lovable, kind playful, energetic dog who just wants to be loved. Rex is a 3 year old Boxer/Pit but he is mostly Boxer. He loves to go on hikes, play fetch and jump for joy when you come home. Rex does have separation anxiety and is a natural guard dog. He loves to do his nightly walks around the home and confirm everything and everyone is in their right place. He needs a home that will allow him to let out his energy and let him be a guard dog. Rex is naturally cautious and is always nervous when meeting new people. Due to Rex being that natural guard dog and being a rescue, he unfortunately did bite a relative of ours when entering the home. Rex is not inherently aggressive, he is just scared. Rex needs to be in a home that can handle a behaviorally challenged dog, a home that will be patient with him. If you give him love, he will give you all the love in the world back.

Story
Hi there. I’m RexThanks for coming in—have a seat. Preferably close. Very close. I’m a leaner and will absolutely use your leg, hip, or entire body as my emotional support furniture. Let’s see if you’re the right fit for me. Question one: do you enjoy cuddles, fetch, and spontaneous rodeo performances starring me and my toys? Excellent. Bonus points if you can throw a toy and don’t mind me choosing my cantaloupe-sized squishy ball every single time.I’m basically Tigger in dog form—bouncy, joyful, and equipped with spring-loaded back legs. I dabble in parkour, so you should enjoy watching athletic leaps and occasionally being the object I bounce off of (don’t worry, I’m very gentle).I know my manners: sit, drop, come/here, car etiquette (I wait for permission like a gentleman), and I’m working hard on sidekick (similar to a head harness) leash skills. I`ve been told I`m a quick learner. I’d love a human who enjoys training and maybe working with a trainer—brains are sexy.`Full disclosure: Since other dogs don’t always get my glowing reviews, I prefer a meet and greet, with any potential furry co-workers, before we move to the next stage.I’m active, compact, and need daily yard zoomies—walks alone won’t cut it. In return, I promise endless smiles, laughs, and unconditional love.Rex has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.

Story
Glinda is a gentle and affectionate dog who thrives on human companionship. Her favorite activity is getting cuddles, especially face kisses and hugs. She is happiest when spending quiet time with her person and receiving plenty of love and attention. She may be 50+ lbs but she is still a total lap dog. She`s pretty low energy and is more of a couch potato than an athlete. She is very well-behaved on walks and enjoys exploring her surroundings with calm curiosity. Glinda is highly food-motivated and appreciates the occasional treat. Glinda would do best in a home without cats and may be reactive around other dogs, so a single-pet household would be ideal. I think she could do well with a fur sibling, it would just need to be a slower introduction. But she`s definitely looking to be someone`s side kick and bff. She does well when left at home and doesn`t seem to suffer from any separation anxiety, especially when she has a big bed to pass the time in. When Glinda came to the shelter as a stray, she had a skin infection called demedox. We are down to one medicated bath a week and shes looking like a whole new dog! She is so patient and cooperative when having her bathes. I think she would do really well with children as she is very gentle and sweet with people.

Story
Meet Perla!Five years old and 55lbs of compact cutie-pie goodness! Perla is a bundle of sweetness wrapped in a petite, cuddly frame, and she’s officially ready to find her forever family.Perla has been dog-tested and did wonderfully — she didn’t get the chance to officially buddy up at the shelter because she was in heat at the time, and she’s now on the schedule to be spayed. Despite not having the best start in life (think: flea bites, outdoor living, not enough baths or nutritious meals), this girl is already blossoming with just a few sudsy spa days and consistent food. She’s proof that a little TLC goes a long way. This girl is the perfect mix of adventure buddy and couch companion. Want a hiking pal? She’s in. Prefer a cozy binge-watching session? Say no more — she’ll be curled up right there with you. Perla is gentle taking treats, easy to handle, and an absolute breeze to walk on leash.Perla is ready to leave her rough past behind and step into a life filled with love, comfort, and belonging. If you’re looking for a loyal furbaby who will adore you endlessly, Perla might be your perfect match!
