This is Stahli - to know her is to absolutely love her! Stahli is a 3 year old boxer/boston terrier mix up for adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota!! Not only is she stunningly pretty with a shiny black coat, she's also very smart. She loves performing tricks and pleasing her people when asked to do things. She craves adoration and accolades! Her favorite things are: snuggling, playing with dogs & toys and watching the neighborhood comings and goings. She has a goofy playfulness to her when combined with her adorable underbite, makes her simply irresistible! Gotta love a good snaggletooth! Stahli will thrive in a stable home without a lot of commotion and chaos. At this time, we are unsure if she would thrive in an apartment setting. She has a hard time processing new people entering her space which can overwhelm her at first. She needs to be allowed to approach people on her own terms. This applies at home and in crowded places. She enjoys going places & car rides, but needs you to advocate for her out in public if people rush up to her... otherwise, she'll vocalize her anxiety herself. She tends to recover quite quickly in public and recently enjoyed a fun evening out at a dog-friendly brewpub. To summarize Stahli: does she have a slight case of stranger danger, yes. But when Stahli loves you, she loves you with every fiber of her being and that will never waiver. She is a smart girl though and remembers people, so if she mistrusts someone, it can be hard to change her opinion. She is currently in a great foster home that is helping to build her confidence when meeting new people. Her new family will need to implement this new routine when visitors are coming over and coach new people through how to interact with her. Cyborg is a 4 month old and 25 pound(and growing!!) puppy looking for his forever home. He loves to play and can often be found taking every toy out of the toy box to play with for a few minutes and then getting the next one. After he gets all his wiggles out, he likes to settle down and curl up on your lap for some cuddles. He went to an overnight foster home with a medium dog, cats, and a rabbit and did well with everyone! He is still learning to be gentle to cats and rabbits and learn they don’t like to wrestle like the dog does.Please keep in mind that puppies require a lot of extra care to establish good habits and prevent behavioral issues later in life; this includes training basic commands like `sit`, `stay`, `come`, and proper potty training. I don`t have a history of living with children. Shazam is a 4 month old and 28 pound( and growing!!) puppy looking for his forever home. He absolutely loves soft beds. Watch out, world - here comes Cheerio! Cheerio is estimated to be just under a year old. She is a ball of fun who is eager to go on adventures and make new friends. She is the cuddle master and thinks that naps are way better with a buddy. She is an active girl looking for a family who can keep up with her puppy antics. Cheerio weighs about 40lbs and we think she is still growing, so our best guess is that she will be around 50-60lbs when fully grown. Cheerio came to us from an overcrowded Central California animal shelter. She was found as a stray, and no family ever came for her. She was at the shelter for about a month and was then placed on the euthanasia list simply due to a lack of space. We quickly were able to find a foster home to take her in, and she has been settling in well since coming to us. Cheerio is a total lovebug who thrives on human attention. She can be a tad cautious when she meets a new person, but she is quick to warm up and cover your face in kisses. She has a hilariously goofy personality, and there are never any dull moments when she is around. She loves to play fetch! Cheerio has mastered a few basic manners, like sit and down, but would benefit from some continued training to help her be the best girl she can be. Cheerio has done well living with other large dogs and could be a great wrestling buddy for another playful pup. She also wouldn't mind being your one and only - more treats and cuddles for her! Cheerio thinks kitties are fun to chase, but with a slow introduction and proper supervision, she has learned to live with dog-savvy cats. Cheerio could be a great addition to a family with kids 10 years and older. Cheerio has been doing great with her housetraining. Cheerio has done well being left alone in her crate for short periods, but very much prefers when one her foster family members can work from home. She is happy to sleep through the night in her crate. Cheerio is such a fantastic dog, and she can't wait to meet her fur-ever family! Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. Glinda is a gentle and affectionate dog who thrives on human companionship. Her favorite activity is getting cuddles, especially face kisses and hugs. She is happiest when spending quiet time with her person and receiving plenty of love and attention. She may be 50+ lbs but she is still a total lap dog. She`s pretty low energy and is more of a couch potato than an athlete. She is very well-behaved on walks and enjoys exploring her surroundings with calm curiosity. Glinda is highly food-motivated and appreciates the occasional treat. Glinda would do best in a home without cats and may be reactive around other dogs, so a single-pet household would be ideal. I think she could do well with a fur sibling, it would just need to be a slower introduction. But she`s definitely looking to be someone`s side kick and bff. She does well when left at home and doesn`t seem to suffer from any separation anxiety, especially when she has a big bed to pass the time in. When Glinda came to the shelter as a stray, she had a skin infection called demedox. We are down to one medicated bath a week and shes looking like a whole new dog! She is so patient and cooperative when having her bathes. I think she would do really well with children as she is very gentle and sweet with people.
