Story
Meet Ada, the spunky senior social butterfly who proves that age is truly just a number! While her sister Siri handles the "chill" side of things, Ada is the designated life of the party. She arrived at the rescue with Siri after their owner passed away, and she relies on her sister for comfort—though she’s usually the one leading the way on their adventures. As a bonded pair, these two sisters are a package deal of double the love and twice the devotion. Ada is a "young-at-heart" senior with a delightful streak of spunk; she’s super sweet, incredibly affectionate, and always ready to greet you with an enthusiastic tail wag. Don’t let the "senior" label fool you—Ada still has plenty of pep in her step! She’s the perfect balance of a loyal companion and a fun-loving friend who hasn't lost her zest for life. Whether she’s investigating a new scent in the yard or nudging you for some well-deserved chin scratches, her personality shines through in everything she does. Ada is looking for a forever home where she can keep Siri entertained and show her new family that senior dogs still know how to have a blast!

Story
Meet Bee, a 1-year-old Chinese Shar-Pei mix who was rescued as a stray in Miami and brought to Big Dog Ranch to find the loving home she deserves. With her striking features and bold personality, Bee is sure to turn heads—and steal hearts. Bee has a high energy level and needs an active, experienced adopter who understands the unique traits of her breed. Shar-Peis can be strong-willed and independent, and Bee is no exception. She’ll thrive in a home where structure, patience, and ongoing training are part of daily life. She would do best in an adult-only home with someone who has previous experience with both dogs and the Shar-Pei breed. Bee is dog-selective—she can coexist with another dog, but it must be the right match and handled with proper introductions. She’s not good with cats and not suited for a home with children, as she can be extremely mouthy and needs her space respected. Bee is still working on her housetraining and leash manners, but she’s smart and eager to learn, especially with a consistent routine and positive reinforcement. She knows basic commands, and once she trusts you, her affectionate side shines through. She absolutely loves to cuddle, splash in the water, and play with her favorite toys. If you’re a confident, experienced dog owner ready to invest the time and love Bee needs to thrive, she just might be the perfect fit for your home!

Story
MEET SHIFU: We can not say enough good things about this boy! BREED: Shifu came from Palm Beach Shelter. We were thrilled to save him. He is a purebred, meatmouth, chocolate dilute (which looks red or auburn, beautiful), brushcoat purebred Shar-Pei. Has the most beautiful corkscrew tail! HE IS A LOOKER! BASICS: He is fully vetted, neutered, utd in shots, on hw preventatives & microchipped. Shifu is housetrained, does not bark, is mannerly in the home, okay on leash, knows basic commands. THE GOOD STUFF: Shifu is highly intelligent. He learns very fast. Overall, he is eager to please, and will do so. But much like the breed he can have his own state of mind sometimes. He is inquisitive. Wants to see what’s up! He loves to be around his people but, is not a sitting on your lap kind of dog. He wants to be where you are but sitting in his own space checking everything out. He is good with other dogs. Good with kids near any age. He is learning to be good with cats. We’d say he is 80% there to just leave the kitty alone. He is friendly, silly, a little goofy which makes him funny and a lot of fun. He is a very easy dog. Playful but, in a chillax way. He loves exploring the yard with the other dogs. Just a wonderful addition to most any person or family. Transport is possible anywhere across the country where we have resources, please inquire. ARE YOU A MATCH♥️ FOR SHIFU?

Story
🐾 Meet Coco — Looking for His Forever Home! 🏡❤️* Coco has come such a long way since coming into his foster home. When he first arrived, he had spent his life living outside 24/7 in the South Florida sun. He was scared, had zero manners, and had no idea what it was like to be a loved and spoiled house dog. Fast forward to today, and Coco is trying very hard to be the bestest boy! He knows sit and lay down, takes treats gently, eats great, and is not food aggressive. He is also good with other dogs and is learning what it means to be a well-mannered pup. He’s still working on his pee-pee manners and wears belly bands while he continues to learn, but he’s making progress! Coco has also made huge improvements in his relationships with men. However, he is still cautious and takes a little longer to trust them. Because of this, his ideal home would include man who understands that trust takes time and is willing to be patient, gentle, and let Coco come around at his own pace.Coco isn’t looking for perfection—he’s looking for someone who will see how far he’s come, celebrate his progress, and give him the patience and love he deserves. He’s already shown us what a difference a safe and loving home can make. Now he just needs someone to help him take those final steps toward becoming the confident, happy boy we know he can be. Coco is ready for his forever family. Could that be yours? 🐶❤️Titusville, FLtransport as possible, please inquireapply at www.sharpeinationrescue.comShar Pei Nation Rescuewww.sharpeinationrescue.com

S’Mores is a little quiet at first but, will get going when playing. Brings him instantly out of his shell! He’s tends to be more of a follower and likes to be engaged with others. On the calmer side and ready to learn. He is very smart. That little brain always at work. Prefers squeaky toys. The best fit for some S’Mores would be a home with another dog. He has no sight. Please see below the details. This does not hold him back in the slightest! His other senses are in the lead in our large and in charge! Have they been born this way he knows no difference so he gets around and a long and leads life to the fullest with no problem. Do not let this deter you. He is fantastic and such a joy. (The puppies were born with Microphthalmia: S’Mores has no vision. It is a congenital condition meaning "small eye," often caused by genetics or developmental issues in the womb. Affected eyes are underdeveloped and may sink into the socket, leading to vision impairment. They have varied degrees of sight. They are fine, no pain, and it cannot be fixed. They have adapted well

Story
Meet Lady! A lovable five-year-old Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever mix currently in Youngsville, NC, whose essence is a joyful blend of squishy-faced charm, playful spirit, and snuggly sweetness wrapped in a silky-soft tan coat. At about 50 pounds, Lady is a medium-sized girl with a huge appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, especially balls! Balls to chase, balls to carry, balls to parade around proudly, Lady is delightfully toy obsessed. She’ll even play fetch with herself when her people are busy, making her quite the one-dog entertainment committee! Stuffed animals are favorites, too, and seeing Lady happily trot around with her toy of the moment is guaranteed to inspire smiles. When playtime winds down, Lady is ready to snuggle. She loves curling up on the sofa while her people read, watch a show, or listen to music, and she may happily volunteer as a cozy sleeping buddy. Her wonderfully soft, velvety coat makes cuddle time even sweeter, and regular brushing will help keep it feeling fabulous! Lady enjoys walks, yard play, window watching, car rides, and leisurely sniffing adventures. She even likes dipping her toes into lakes and streams. She knows “sit,” comes when called, is house-trained and crate trained, and does well when left alone for short periods, whether loose or relaxing in her crate. Lady can be selective with canine companions because sharing treasured toys is not her favorite activity. She tends to do better with male dogs and is less comfortable with female dogs, so she may be compatible with a laid-back male dog who isn’t interested in competing for toys. She could also happily soak up all the attention as the only dog! Lady needs a cat-free home. An adult home or family with older, middle-school-aged children would suit her well. She is generally more comfortable with women and can be nervous around men, so she may need extra time, patience, and gentle introductions to feel at ease with the men in her new family. Storms can also make her nervous. Lady is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Could this soft, silly, ball-loving snugglebug be the companion you’ve been hoping to welcome into your family? If you’re interested in providing Lady with a loving home, please email meetme@joyfulpets.com for more information about adopting her! Please note that Lady is currently in foster care through one of our trusted rescue partners and will remain with her foster family until the right match is found. Because rescue-partner pets are managed directly by their respective organizations, their adoption process, requirements, and fees may differ from Joyful Pets’ direct rehoming program. Our team will be happy to connect you with the rescue and help guide you through their process to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Story
Georgia is 13 months old. She is deaf and blind since birth. She loves all people and all dogs plays with my 8 and 10 year old grandchildren and my 2 recues-both 60 pounds, one is12 the other is 5. I adopted her from Peggy adams at 13 weeks. I have recently lost my husband and I need to go back to work. I would love to find someone looking for a special needs dog and looking to love her as much as she gives love. She is 65 pounds. She loves walks and other dogs that she can get to know and those would guide her. She will need to mentally map her new home in order to navigate it without injury. Georgia loves treats. She carries a stuffed animal around like it is her baby. I keep her crated at night and when I am not home with her to prevent injury. She spent 2 weeks at K9 diversity training and did well with other dogs. I would love to find a person that would give her love and nurture her. Geogia is facinated by rain. Georgia is a miracle and needs a miracle. Please help her.
