HEMINGWAY (aka Jax): The Basics: What a stunning boy this 11 month old boy is. He is a purebred horsecoat and is smaller in stature. He is housetrained, fully vetted, neutered. Good with kids and dogs, cats are unknown. He is still in puppy mode at his young age. The Good Stuff: He has been in professional training and has learned much in terms of basic commands and overall mannerly behaviour. He does run out the front door. But, the trainer is addressing that. He loves kids. He is playful so tinier kids might not be best. He is super sweet. Loves to snuggle. What you or the family is doing is what he wants to do! He is very protective of his home. He will be on alert. He is working on socialization. He is still Leary of new people. His Best Home: A person or family that is active and will include Hemingway in this activity. Someone(s) whom will be dedicated to continuing training him. A fenced yard would be best but, if truly active not a total must. Hemingway is beautiful and just a wonderful young Shar-Pei that would make a great family member to an active and moving home. Lucy was rescued from high kill shelter where she was sitting with eye issues for several months in a lot of pain. She can see just fine but needs a minor surgery to repair her eyes which our veterinarian will do. She is around a year old and looks like a Doberman / Sharpei mix. Lucy is very sweet, playful and good with dogs. She’s young and excited about her new lease on life. Meet Cookie! 🍪 Cookie was abandoned by her family not once but twice! She was first tied to a pole at a grocery store. A rescuer found her and saw that she was microchipped! We were so grateful to hear that the owners had "lost" their precious dog and Cookie was returned promptly. A few weeks later Cookie was found roaming the streets of Miami all alone! She was picked up by animal control and brought to a shelter in Miami. 😢 Luckily the same rescuer happened to see a post about Cookie being in the shelter and could not believe it! She rushed down there to pull her from the shelter to ensure that she never ends up on the streets again. Her previous owners discarded her twice and we will ensure Cookie never has to endure this heartache again 💔 Despite all of this turmoil, Cookie is extremely resilient. All she craves is love from her foster family. She is 9 years young, spayed, and fully vaccinated. She loves all people and is especially wonderful around children! We would prefer Cookie go to a home without other pets because we do not know her history with other animals, however, feel free to inquire if you think Cookie may mix well with your household. Cookie loves to go on walks, she loves to play, and she adores rolling around and making you laugh. She is completely house trained and loves to lounge around the house. 🐾 🏡 Please help us find Cookie this senior pup the happily ever after that she deserves!
