Story
Amberly has those darling wrinkles that you immediately fall in love with.  Found in our local community after fireworks,  we suspect she became lost due to her fear of the loud noises.   She  tested great with a calm well balanced dog, so with proper introductions she should do fine with dogs around her size, but chases cats, and we are not sure how she would do with smaller dogs.  We think she is between 1-2 years old and currently weighs 51 lbs.  If interested in fostering or adopting Amberly apply online at  buttsmutts.com and we will reach out to set up an appointment to meet her!   ##1476146##

Story
Have you heard the news??? All of our current dogs are available to be adopted . . . with NO ADOPTION FEE!! A huge thanks goes to Animal Legal Defense Fund for this! Because of ALDF, actress Kate Mara is sponsoring the adoption fee for each one of these amazing dogs! Wow - can you believe it?? You can adopt one of our great dogs, and spend the adoption fee on new toys, soft beds, and yummy treats instead!   Now on to Jazzy! Meet Jazzy!! Jazzy's shelter name was Jazz, and the handlers liked the name, so they decided to keep it, but make it just a little … well … jazzier!! So Jazzy it is! Jazzy had been a shelter dog more than once - that's just so sad. She was owned by someone who developed health problems and couldn't care for her, so she was relinquished to the shelter. She was adopted again, and ... not long after that, came back in much worse condition than she left. She was tethered in the second owner's front yard, she had significant hair loss, and was underweight - the note was made that it appeared as though she had not eaten in several days. She was treated for her skin condition, and she gained some weight. She developed an upper respiratory infection and was treated, and she gained some weight. She was spayed and recovered, and gained some weight.  We were drawn to her sunny disposition, so we temperament tested her, and we were thrilled when she passed!! After 185 days in the shelter, she was finally going to get to leave!! This chubby girl (we will work on her weight!!) is a sharpei / pit mix, with a golden brown coat, and smiling face. She does love so very much to give kisses - and we have the pictures to prove it!! She is extremely playful, and loves to engage in toy games with her people. Want to help us make sure that the rest of Jazzy's days are full of fun, without any chains or missed meals? Put your application in today - www.caninecellmates.org! Jazzy is located in Atlanta, GA and is available for adoption immediately. Jazzy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her shots. Canine CellMates dogs are trained in items similar to the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. They learn basic obedience and commands such as sit, down, stay, go to place, and leave it. They are also crate trained. If you are interested in adopting Jazzy, please fill out an adoption application at www.caninecellmates.org. or email adopt@caninecellmates.org for more information. Story
Droopy, AKA Droop Dogg, is an approximately two year old male Sharpei. He has quite an interesting story that we would be happy to share with you upon inquiry. He is a little timid, but he is a sweet boy, and seems to be the type to attach to one owner. He does seem to have food aggression, so his potential forever family needs to be aware that he is accustomed to eating alone in his crate. Aside from that, he has had no reaction to other dogs. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Any additional questions, please feel free to message us.

Story
People have failed Titus throughout his entire life. He was abandoned as a puppy and found himself at a dirty, overcrowded shelter in a tiny cage. As a puppy, he was quickly adopted, and one could only hope that he had found his forever family. This wasn't to be for the poor pup. Titus found himself in and out of the shelter again and again over the years for various reasons - didn't have enough time for him, moving into a new home, couldn't afford to take care of him anymore... Titus has heard it all. He's given all of himself to so many people over the years, but it never seemed to be enough for someone to simply commit to him. Titus was abandoned at the shelter a final time, completely hairless and covered in painful skin infection. Volunteers and staff did all they could to treat his skin and make him feel loved. In the end, it didn't matter; no one was interested in adopting an old, sick dog, and Titus was placed on the euthanasia list. SSR didn't allow his story to end at the shelter. Now, he's in a loving foster home with other dogs that he loves to play with, and his fur is growing in beautifully. It will still be a while before he looks like a Shar Pei again, but we'll be with him the entire way. Won't you be a part of his amazing transformation, his fairytale ending?

Story
Meet Gert! Sweet Gert actually joined our RMG family almost a year ago. To say this girl was a "hot mess" would have been an understatement! She saw all of our top vets and their best educated guess on breed is Shar Pei and English Bulldog - all we can say is WHY?!?!?! Thanks to her incredibly irresponsible breeders for combining two breed known for numerous health problems and breathing issues, Gert has spent the past year undergoing several extensive surgeries to correct the physical abnormalities they had created. All of that is behind her now and this amazing girl can now see and, more importantly, breathe!!!! Gert is about 3 years old and absolutely everyone's best friend! She is one that has truly never met a stranger - she loves all people, dogs, and even cats! For her favorite activity, it's a toss up between cuddles and cat rides! She is looking for an adventurous family with another dog (a definite must have!) who will take her on all the fun trips - sports games/practice, car pool, a sunny day in the park....if you're going and dogs are allowed, Gert wants to go to! Even though all of Gert's issues have been corrected and she's 100% healthy, she will still have the same needs and quirks as other very brachycephalic dogs. Therefore, previous first hand ownership experience with purebred English Bulldogs is a strict requirement to adopt Gert Interested in adding a little bit of comic relief to your day to day life? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org to adopt Gert! ##1368198##
