Story
Daisy is ready for her next chapter! -3 years old (est.) -62 pounds -Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped -Very dog friendly, all sizes -Potty trained, crate trained -Shy, derpy, goofy, innocent, playful, preciously sweet and lovely PERSONALITY: Daisy is such a beautifully innocent soul. Though very very shy at first, there is not a mean bone in her body. She is goofy and derpy like a boxer when she warms up. She is true innocent bliss mixed with derpy goofball. Daisy just needs someone to give her grace, time to settle in, and warm up so they can see her true beautiful personality too. FAV THINGS: Daisy enjoys playing with dogs, collecting nylabones in her dog bed (she's topped out at around 20), stealing slippers or shoes if the opportunity presents (oopsies- she's learning), seeking gentle affection from her people, and playing with her people in the yard. DOGS: Daisy best thrives with another dog in the home. She really, really enjoys their companionship and comfort, and follows their lead for confidence. She also *loves* playing with other playful dogs. She has done beautifully with every dog she has met from dominant/alpha female type, to submissive playful, from 6lb puppies to 70lb adults. CATS: Unknown. Daisy has not met cats, besides out free with ferals cats at the gym when she was living there. If we were a betting man..... we'd probably bet a kitty swat would send Daisy running for the hills. That is 0% tried and tested. She has NO cat experiences to speak on with us. Daisy is just so uber submissive, absolutely zero observed prey drive, and liable to be afraid of her own shadow we just cant see her not being put in her place by a cat. The only way to know though is slow and proper intros over time living with them. KIDS: No kid experience, though probably best only older kids as she is so shy at first and such a flight risk. TRAINING: Potty trained. Crate trained- sleeps peacefully in her crate over night and while humans are gone. HISTORY: Daisy lived in the parking lot of a gym from around March 2025 until capture January 2026. Everyone cared for her and loved her, she was basically the gym mascot its just that no one could catch her. No owner ever came forward and her history prior to the gym remains a mystery. NOTE: Daisy will be a FLIGHT RISK starting off. Daisy avoided capture for several months and it is not likely she could be caught again if she escaped. Basic precautionary measures must be taken to ensure she stays safe e.g. not leaving unattended in a yard, watching doors/gates, etc. Simple things that are the difference sometimes in a pet going missing or not. LOCATION: Currently in foster in Jackson, GA. We do a home check with all fosters/adopters, so no need to travel, we will come to you within 2 hours. AVAILABILITY: Available for adoption or foster-to-adopt (FTA). FTA is a 2 week commitment-free trial run to make sure things are a fit before sealing the deal and officially adopting. ADOPTION FEE: $150 APPLY TO ADOPT: joyspromise.org/adopt P.S.- If you aren't looking to adopt right now, but still want to help, consider fostering Daisy! Fostering Daisy would expand her socialization and exposure, which would be greatly beneficial to her at this point. Foster: joyspromise.org/foster -- Note: If you are interested in adopting, please COMPLETE AN APPLICATION THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. Inquiries on adoption sites is not an application. Your inquiry will not be seen until you complete an actual application at joyspromise.org/adopt

DEEK — the gentle heart DOB: 2/4/26 Not every puppy needs to be the loudest in the room… Deek is the one quietly watching, waiting… and then softly choosing you This sweet boy has a bashful, gentle personality. He’s not dominant, not pushy—just pure kindness wrapped in a tiny puppy body. The kind who leans in for comfort, follows your lead, and loves with his whole heart. Sweet, soft nature A little shy at first Gentle and easygoing Just wants to feel safe and loved His mama is a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix weighing just 31 lbs, so he’s expected to stay a great, manageable size. Deek is looking for a patient, loving home—one that will give him the time to blossom into the loyal, devoted companion he’s meant to be.

BRIGGS MEET OUR LITTLE TOUGH GUY Don’t let the baby face fool you… this boy means business. He’s got that serious stare, that confident stance, and the kind of presence that says “I’ve got this.” But behind those strong eyes? A puppy who just wants his person. He’s: Smart Observant Independent-minded Already showing that loyal, protective personality He’s not your goofy, bouncing-off-the-walls pup… He’s the one who studies the room, sits with purpose, and bonds deeply with his people. The kind of dog who will grow into your shadow. Your ride-or-die. Your best friend. Still just a baby, so he’ll need guidance, love, and a home that will help him grow into the incredible dog he’s meant to be. DOB 2/4/26 Mama is a black mouth cur/boxer mix and is 31lbs Foster to adopt / adoption available He’s ready to leave the backseat and step into a real life… A home. A family. A future.

Story
Gumpy is a very loving and wonderful dog. He's good with kids, unsure fully about cats. His shots are up to date. He loves being outside, loves walks. He is unfortunately going through a slight depression due to us not being able to take care of him the way he needs. We are at work more than home so therefore he does not get to go outside nor do we have the fenced in yard that he needs to play in. He stays in kennel longer than he should because of circumstances. He gets very excited around new people, and he likes to jump up to greet them. He is looking for a loving family, with a yard he can play in. He is crate and kennel trained and potty trained as well. He just wants a loving family, and right now we are unable to provide him the love that he needs. Please do not be rude or mean, we are doing our best with the circumstances that we are in and just trying to do what is best for Gumpy. We love him dearly and would love for him to get the love he wants. Thank you.

Story
Turtle is a sweet, brindle female rescued from a hoarding case with almost 20 other dogs. She was underweight, but is eating well and gaining weight rapidly. She is settling in to her new foster home and is very vocal. She talks when she is happy, she talks when she wants something, and she talks when she wants out of her crate. She is doing well with crate and potty training and gets along well with the resident dogs (and cats) in the foster home.  She is learning to walk on a leash, has a good grasp on sit, and has no interest in stay. :-) (We are working on that.) She is current on vaccines, is heartworm negative, and has been dewormed.  Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Jonesboro, Georgia.
