Meet Walker, an adorable 8-month-old male Sher Pei/Pit mix who is ready to find his forever home! With his affectionate nature, he absolutely loves being around people and kids, making him the perfect family companion. Walker has an energetic spirit and a strong desire to be a lap dog, always seeking out your love and attention. However, he would benefit from a consistent housetraining schedule to help him build good habits. While his playful chewing might be a sign of separation anxiety, with guidance and care, he can overcome this challenge. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your home with joy and laughter, Walker is the pup for you! ADOPTION FEE: LOCAL $100 NON-LOCAL $140 All dogs receive at least 1 distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccine. If possible a heartworm test will be done and if negative the dog will be started on heartworm prevention. All animals receive a flea and parasite prevention/treatment and will be microchipped. All animals can go home the same day as adoption. We will need your photo ID and you will sign some documents. Adopters will also receive a copy of the animal's medical history to date. We do not do an application process. All adoptions are first come, first serve. We do not offer holds. We do not require in most cases that adopters bring all their families members and dogs for a meet and greet. But we do highly encourage it. We are happy to introduce the new dog to your dog(s) at the shelter. No appointment necessary. We do offer home trials of dogs over 6 months of age for about a week. You will not need to pay the adoption fee (spay neuter deposit) ahead of time, but if you decide to adopt you will need to return to the shelter to complete the paperwork and pay the adoption deposit. If you do not wish to complete the adoption, you can bring the dog back at any time during normal business hours during your home trial period. We do not allow after hours drop off.

Who's better than the rest-y? That's right, it's me, Betsy! I am a cool Chinese Shar-Pei mixed female with a Tuxedo colored coat and white socks! My facial features even have a cool black and white coloring to them too! I was rescued from a bad hoarding situation alongside my siblings, thing's weren't looking good for us. But our big-hearted rescuers saved us and got us on the road to better care and living great lives! Betsy likes to chew on big bones, occasionally wiggle her ears around, and bark at squirrels. Now we're on our way to finding our forever homes. Learning how to socialize with other dogs, take walks, and play fetch with a ball. Stay tuned for more updates on my journey! Have you ever heard on the TV, well a hoarder's house has been raided and ... animals have been seized and sent to the pound or rescue organizations in the area.... WELL, we are FROM just that kind of situation :( The good thing is we were SAVED... the bad thing is that we had to ENDURE the neglect and disgusting home. The BEST thing is we were ALL SAVED by a rescue group who REFUSED to leave even ONE behind...... 30 dogs/pups ALL AT ONCE has been taxing and motivating for the rescuers. If you watch our video, the situation was very very challenging but our rescuers worked their butts off to save us. We are almost all ready for adoption, all the pups are social and ready for their furever homes! The young adults and adults are a little more shy but have been working really hard with our rescuers to be ready for YOU!! We are a unique "breed" mix, lol. Aunts/Uncles/Parents/SIblings... all "living" together. We have Shar Pei, Scruffy dogs, Pit Bull, and maybe Spaniel mixed in there :D We are all pretty much medium sized, 20-50# and cute as HECK!! This is Dani: This spunky girl has so much character! If you look at her videos when she’s trying to play she does this thing where she shakes her head. She sometimes looks like she’s telling me what’s up cause how she does her head nods. She jumps up with excitement like a very tiny bull. She runs around with confidence and loves to explore. The dogs barking at her don’t seem to bother her. She may even be patriotic lol!! 😂 She seemed to take a lot of interest in the flag and our soldier statue. :) Dani is the epitome of "blondes have more fun!!"
