MEET THE MARVELOYS MISS MAYA: Maya is a loving, playful 1 y/o Shar-pei mix. She loves to play with toys and her foster brother. She is great with kids and other animals (all animals as she’s being fostered on a farm). She walks well on a leash, knows sit, stay, paw. She is crate trained and housebroken. She is highly treat motivated and would be best suited for a family who has time to play with her and give her the love and cuddles she deserves. Miss Maya is full vetted, spayed, healthy and adorable! It’s truly just a lovely dog. So don’t delay apply to adopt The Marvelous Miss Maya today.

Faith is a people-loving enthusiast! Her face lights up with a smile, and her tail wags with sheer delight whenever she's around people. In her previous home, she honed her escape artist skills, so she'll need a secure environment and patient owners who can understand her quirks. For the right family, Faith promises unwavering loyalty and companionship. She thrives as the sole dog in the household, so if you have the loving and secure home that Faith yearns for, she might be the perfect fit for you!Est. Story
Saint and Jude were found as strays. They have been with us for 8 months without any interest. They are very sweet boys who adore people. They are well mannered and aim to please. They love to play together but also know how to settle and take a nap close to each other. They would flourish in an active home with a family who would take them on long walks and play with them in the yard. Jude is great with other dogs. Saint is more selective - He is ok with females and young dogs.To meet me, please fill out an adoption application on https://www.hartrescue.com/adoption-process

Story
LOVES BELLY RUBS AND GIVES KISSESEst. DOB 10/8/18, Weight ~ 65 lbs I’m Buster, a sweet, happy, eager-to-please, playful Boxer/ Black Mouth Cur mix fella who loves “marathon” belly rubs and snuggling for hours with my human dad on the sofa or the bed. When he sits on the floor with me, I love to lie across his lap and give kisses. I’m very loyal and doting with my human dad, with whom I’ve bonded tremendously, and I follow him everywhere. I’m respectful and trustworthy with children outside the coffee shop and on walks. A bonus is that I have a very soft mouth when I take treats and toys. Speaking of walks, I love them! But, True Confessions – I’m working on my leash manners so I don’t get overly stimulated by cats, squirrels, or certain other dogs. I really enjoy the company of most other dogs, whether playing or lounging around together.  Moderate exercise not only stimulates me physically but mentally too. I’ve been through obedience training and I “sit,” “down,” and “place” on command (for the most part). The trainer says that I’m a quick learner because of my treat-motivation. I’ve had a rotating cast of dog walkers, and they all applaud how people-friendly I am. With proper introductions, I meet new people and strangers easily – with the exception of people who ring that annoying doorbell. I’ve come a long way from when I was rescued at BARC, Houston’s City shelter. You know, there are advantages to adopting an adult dog like me who’s past the stage of puppy-craziness. I’m crate-trained and know how to use the doggy door. I’m not a digger and I don’t destroy anything that isn’t a toy -- other than a couple of pillows. I’ve been a loving adopted canine brother for many months but now my canine brother's anxiety has gotten worse, to the point where it is hard for us to be together therefore it’s better that I find a new home since he was here first.  So, I’m available for adoption again! If you’re looking for a big, gentle boy who’s a bundle of love, I fit the bill!! And I’m flexible – I can live in an apartment as long as I get adequate exercise or a home with a backyard for chasing the tennis ball.  I’d love to be the star of the show and get all of your love, i.e., not have to share you with another dog in the home, but I’d still like going to Day Care, the dog park, and play dates with my canine friends. Arrange to meet me, and remember, I’ve never met a stranger!
