Story
LOVES BELLY RUBS AND GIVES KISSESEst. DOB 10/8/18, Weight ~ 65 lbs I’m Buster, a sweet, happy, eager-to-please, playful Boxer/ Black Mouth Cur mix fella who loves “marathon” belly rubs and snuggling for hours with my human dad on the sofa or the bed. When he sits on the floor with me, I love to lie across his lap and give kisses. I’m very loyal and doting with my human dad, with whom I’ve bonded tremendously, and I follow him everywhere. I’m respectful and trustworthy with children outside the coffee shop and on walks. A bonus is that I have a very soft mouth when I take treats and toys. Speaking of walks, I love them! But, True Confessions – I’m working on my leash manners so I don’t get overly stimulated by cats, squirrels, or certain other dogs. I really enjoy the company of most other dogs, whether playing or lounging around together.  Moderate exercise not only stimulates me physically but mentally too. I’ve been through obedience training and I “sit,” “down,” and “place” on command (for the most part). The trainer says that I’m a quick learner because of my treat-motivation. I’ve had a rotating cast of dog walkers, and they all applaud how people-friendly I am. With proper introductions, I meet new people and strangers easily – with the exception of people who ring that annoying doorbell. I’ve come a long way from when I was rescued at BARC, Houston’s City shelter. You know, there are advantages to adopting an adult dog like me who’s past the stage of puppy-craziness. I’m crate-trained and know how to use the doggy door. I’m not a digger and I don’t destroy anything that isn’t a toy -- other than a couple of pillows. I’ve been a loving adopted canine brother for many months but now my canine brother's anxiety has gotten worse, to the point where it is hard for us to be together therefore it’s better that I find a new home since he was here first.  So, I’m available for adoption again! If you’re looking for a big, gentle boy who’s a bundle of love, I fit the bill!! And I’m flexible – I can live in an apartment as long as I get adequate exercise or a home with a backyard for chasing the tennis ball.  I’d love to be the star of the show and get all of your love, i.e., not have to share you with another dog in the home, but I’d still like going to Day Care, the dog park, and play dates with my canine friends. Arrange to meet me, and remember, I’ve never met a stranger! Story
Adorable puppy Jason was found cowering in the bushes in heavy thunderstorm, when a patron of our rescue who was walking her senior yorkie, spotted him. Jason is now 14 weeks old, and very calm puppy, who just wants to please his human. He loves to be around his humans and wants nothing but affection. He is a very loving and velcro pup, good with dogs, cats, kids, people. Jason is 15 lb and growing. He is current on his shots, will be neutered in a couple weeks, and microchipped. He is crate trained although he is not a fan of the crate, he is puppy pad trained, and is learning to be housebroken, and he is kept on heartworm and flea preventative as well as deworming schedule. He is very easy to train, as he is extremely intelligent and loves to hear "good boy". In the right home, he will turn into a lovely adult pup. He lives with kids and brightens up when he sees his 10 year old human foster brother. Sweet Jason is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, microchip, shots, deworming, heartworm and flea preventatives, and transport fee. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.BIG, STRONG MANBOERNE here and I'm an older, big strong man. I found myself at a local shelter and then these folks from Houston Boxer Rescue came and picked me up and now I have shelter, food, and love.  As you can see, I'm handsome.  I have lovely eyes, soft fur, and a heart of gold.  I'm approximately 6-7 years old, so I've been around the Boxer block. I know many commands and I'm a very nice fellow to all other humans.  I will do well on a walk.  I was in a foster home with other dogs, but I want to be the KING of the house.  Therefore, I will do best with a home where I am the MAN....like the only man, dog, critter.  I will reward you with all of my love and affection for the rest of my life. So, if you are looking for the Big, Strong, Silent type of MAN....I'm your guy.  Apply for Boerne today...you will not be disappointed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2024, 12:51 pm

Story
Meet this sweet boy, Georgie (previously Bruno), who was abandoned at a local dog park. One of our volunteers found him with a note attached. He had a family but they could no longer care for him so they left him where they hoped a true dog lover would find him. Fortunately, the plan worked. Georgie is about 10 months old, possibly lab, boxer mix. He is vaccinated and neutered and heartworm negative! He is a sweet boy but like most young pups needs training and exercise. Check out this video by Georgie's foster  https://vimeo.com/934607900/8e64769336?share=copy If you are interested in adopting this adorable boy who is so deserving of a great home fill out our application right away,  www.scoutshonor.org    April 21, 2024, 9:22 pm

Story
Boso is a 2 year old sweet boy with puppy energy. He is very affectionate and loving. He loves belly rubs, and to be very close to you all the time. Boso was found in a park, but people called animal control upon seeing a pitbull roaming around. So he ended up in a very high kill shelter, from where he was rescued right before he was going to be euthanized for lack of space. Boso is currently about 50 lb and fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. He is a very loving pup, with nothing but love in his heart. He likes to have zoomies and run around in the yard. He can go to a home with or without dogs. Sweet Boso is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups.
