Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Heartworm PositiveHi I'm Belinda, A beautiful brindle boxer who is about 3 years old.  I am petite, strikingly beautiful brindle female boxer with a heart as big as my soulful eyes.  My journey has had a rough start.  The bet thinks that I was a breeding female.  It appears I've had several litters of puppies.  I don't remember, I was never given the chance to care for my puppies just birth them.   Thanks to the loving care of HBR I received the medical care I needed.  Now, I am healthy, happy and ready to find my forever home.   I am a Toy Enthusiast, I adore toys especially my lamb chop and I don't chew them up.  I just play with them.   I am a bundle of energy in a petite package, always up for a run in the yard or a brisk walk around the neighborhood.  I am happiest when I am with my people.  I know how to form strong bonds with them but it might take me a day or so.   While I take a little time to warm up to other dogs, with patience and proper introductions, I can make canine friends.  I do well with older, senior dogs that are calmer.  I get along fine with my foster's dog Dolly.  She is 9 and is a golden pyrenees.  She is a big senior girl and I like to hang out with her.  I'm always ready for an adventure and loves going for car rides.  I love mealtime and I'll do just about anything for a treat.  I'd be a great running partner.   I am looking for an active family who will understand my past and appreciate my resilient spirit.  I have some separation anxiety, not overwhelming, but I do miss my people when they are away.  I am crate trained and I don't try to get out of my crate.  I am a good girl in my crate.  I do not destroy things or I have not tried to break out of my crate.  But I do talk a lot and let you know that I miss you.   If you are searching for a devoted, playful, and beautiful boxer to join your family, I am ready to start my new chapter with you!  Give me a chance and the ending I deserve.   Love Belinda We transport our dogs up North and out of Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Zuri is a sweet, well-mannered young boxer girl who brings the perfect balance of playful energy and calm companionship to the home.  She is crate trained, reliably housebroken, and even lets you know when she needs to go outside, which makes her very easy to live with.  Zuri is calm and enjoys a good romp and zoomies in the backyard but also knows how to settle nicely when playtime is over.  She loves playing with her toys and will happily engage in fun wit her dog friends.  She she is smart.  She values her downtime and is content to curl up in a cozy dog bed after play, soaking up gentle pets and attention from her people.  She is a social dog who enjoyed spending time with her foster's grandson, showing a friendly and appropriate demeanor that would make her a lovely family companion.  She would thrive with adopters who appreciate a boxer who can zoom around the yard one minute and snuggle the next, and who will include her as a cherished member of the family. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Denzel has a few lumps and bumps. It has been determined that he has some cancer cells. Don't let that scare you away. Denzel wants to be your best pal and have a family that will love him furever!Hi, I’m Denzel—I’m a stunning, little overweight, good looking senior guy!   I’m the most easygoing boxer you’ll ever meet, and I’m hoping to find my forever family! I’m a sweet, laid back boy with a major love for naps (I might just be the world champion snoozer). Don’t let that fool you—I can still turn on the zoomies after a good meal, and I’ve even convinced the most stubborn Weimaraner in the house to join in on the fun! My playful side always comes out with my dog friends, both big and small. I’m not interested in being king of the house—I’m happiest just being part of the family. I get a little grumbly (especially around new folks, mostly men), but honestly, it’s all bark and no bite. I just want some time to sniff and nudge in for a pet or two—then I settle right in once those scritches start. My foster family says I’m incredibly polite: I never jump, never get up on furniture, and only bark once to let you know I’m ready to come back inside. I’m quiet, well-mannered, and basically the perfect gentle companion—great for a calm home or to keep someone sweet company. My absolute favorite move is to sit with my back toward you in hopes of a reverse belly scratch (trust me—you haven’t seen cute until you’ve seen me wiggle into position for this classic!). Sometimes I’ll even sit up on my hind legs so you get the perfect angle. I have a couple of quirks that make me, well… me! I’m a champion snorer (my snores have been called “legendary”), and I do have one drooly side of my mouth thanks to a suspected cancer spot on my right lower lip. So, you might end up with a trail of drool on your leg every now and then—just a little reminder of my love! I love treats, eating (no worries there), and car rides (I snooze all the way). I also enjoy a good dip in the pool—which means wet paws, but a towel by the door is all you need! For all my quirks, I know my commands, and my foster folks say I’m the best dog they’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a mellow, loving, well-mannered best friend who’ll bring you laughs (and maybe a bit of drool), I’m your guy—Denzel! We transport our dogs up North and out of Texas. We use trusted transport partners to safely deliver them to their families. Story
10 weeks old puppy Godiva is the most velcro of the group. She is such a human oriented girl. Even during play, if she sees her human, she will leave the group to come get some pets. Godiva and her 8 siblings were born on the streets of Texas to a sweet mama Penny who raised them under a trailer, whose owner was feeding them. When they got a little older and started running on the streets and were at risk of being runover, the owner contacted our rescue. Godiva is very smart, sweet, and medium energy puppy, who deserves to find the best homes. They are playful but not hyperactive. They can be an only child, or have siblings. They are good with dogs, cats, kids, people, everyone. Godiva was born around the first week of September and will grow up to be a medium size pup. Their mom is only 40 lb. Godiva is current on his shots, and is microchipped and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventative. As with all our pups and kitties, she will get fixed before he goes to his forever home. This family is currently being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. Their adoption fee includes their vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and leash. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, must be adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
