Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.weak heartworm positiveMeet Bob! This handsome boy is all heart and full of energy, love and just the right amount of goofiness.  Bob lives for playtime! He adores his chew toys and stuffies, tossing them around like little treasures before curling up for a well earned nap.  Right now,  he's rocking his "dinosaur" recovery suit to make sure he stays comfy and heals up properly (he's a champ about it, too!) Once playtime winds down, Bob proves he's got a soft side.  He settles beautifully and loves to snuggle close.  He loves car rides and his blanket.  Bob is cautions with little dogs, he does fine with larger dogs.  He's got 2 dog beds to choose from, but honestly Bob prefers to lie right in between them...because that's just where hearts like his belong - right in the middle of everything.  Don't miss out on this guy, he is amazing!  We transport our dogs up North and out of Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Sullivan.  I am a silly brindle boxer with a really BIG heart and an even bigger zest for life.    I am sweet and I love people!  I love to soak up affection and be close to my humans.   I have loads of personality and I am a fun boisterous boy full of energy that keeps my foster family laughing.  I am really silly and friendly, and I'm the kind of dog who makes every day feel a little brighter.  I love walks, and I am working on my leash training.  I need a family that is active and willing to practice consistent leash skills  and reward good choices I make.  I love treats and my stuffies.  I need slow introductions to other dogs.  I get way to excited and want to play.  Some dogs don't like that.  If you are looking for the bestest son ever, adopt me.  You will not be disappointed.   Love Sullivan We transport our dogs up North and out of Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Denzel has a few lumps and bumps. It has been determined that he has some cancer cells. Don't let that scare you away. Denzel wants to be your best pal and have a family that will love him furever!Hi, I’m Denzel—I’m a stunning, little overweight, good looking senior guy!   I’m the most easygoing boxer you’ll ever meet, and I’m hoping to find my forever family! I’m a sweet, laid back boy with a major love for naps (I might just be the world champion snoozer). Don’t let that fool you—I can still turn on the zoomies after a good meal, and I’ve even convinced the most stubborn Weimaraner in the house to join in on the fun! My playful side always comes out with my dog friends, both big and small. I’m not interested in being king of the house—I’m happiest just being part of the family. I get a little grumbly (especially around new folks, mostly men), but honestly, it’s all bark and no bite. I just want some time to sniff and nudge in for a pet or two—then I settle right in once those scritches start. My foster family says I’m incredibly polite: I never jump, never get up on furniture, and only bark once to let you know I’m ready to come back inside. I’m quiet, well-mannered, and basically the perfect gentle companion—great for a calm home or to keep someone sweet company. My absolute favorite move is to sit with my back toward you in hopes of a reverse belly scratch (trust me—you haven’t seen cute until you’ve seen me wiggle into position for this classic!). Sometimes I’ll even sit up on my hind legs so you get the perfect angle. I have a couple of quirks that make me, well… me! I’m a champion snorer (my snores have been called “legendary”), and I do have one drooly side of my mouth thanks to a suspected cancer spot on my right lower lip. So, you might end up with a trail of drool on your leg every now and then—just a little reminder of my love! I love treats, eating (no worries there), and car rides (I snooze all the way). I also enjoy a good dip in the pool—which means wet paws, but a towel by the door is all you need! For all my quirks, I know my commands, and my foster folks say I’m the best dog they’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a mellow, loving, well-mannered best friend who’ll bring you laughs (and maybe a bit of drool), I’m your guy—Denzel! We transport our dogs up North and out of Texas. Story
Big Shot is a 3 yo pittie mix, who will do great in a home with a fully fenced yard. Big loves people and will rollover for pets when he meets a new animal lover. He is obsessed about his kong toy, and does not go anywhere without it. Big Shot was rescued from a high kill shelter, where he was a staff favorite. He loves to play fetch, and loves to take instruction. He is very trainable. Due to his breed, we would prefer he goes to a home without young children. Big is 3 year old, and weighs around 55 lb. He is current on vaccination, neutered, and microchipped, He is heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Big loves to be petted and is very velcro. He loves to follow his person around, and mind his own business. Big is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to many states and even Canada to the right home. His adoption fee includes his transport fee. Yards must be fully and adequately fenced, to be considered for our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com so you could be approved to meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chats.

Story
Cocoa is an 11-month-old pup with the gentlest, most loving soul. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and people-oriented, and she truly just wants to be close to her humans. Whether she’s cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, or greeting you with happy tail wags, Cocoa makes every day brighter. Cocoa and her sister Cypress were brought to a high-kill shelter in Houston, where they were at risk simply for being unwanted. Thankfully, both girls were rescued and are now safe and thriving in a foster home in Amarillo. They can be adopted together or separately — both would do wonderfully in a loving forever home. Cocoa has a wonderful temperament and an easygoing, friendly nature that makes her a joy to have around. She gets along well with other dogs and would be a perfect fit for a family or an individual looking for a loyal best friend. She is smart, eager to please, and already showing what a well-mannered and devoted companion she will become. Cocoa is 45 lb, fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative and kept on proheart — she is healthy, vetted, and ready to go home. Cocoa truly is a dream puppy — full of love, sweetness, and charm — and she is ready to find a forever family where she can be cherished for life. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving, and devoted companion, Cocoa is your girl. 🤍🐶 His adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality Harness and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters. He is being fostered in Amarillo, Texas, but can travel to many states and even Canada for the right home. Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application form via www.savesomesouls.com Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. We need the parents to be patient and compassionate towards the changes that these pups are undergoing, being taken away from a home they came to know as their own to a new environment. 3-3-3 Rule of Adoption must be followed at all times to make adoption successful. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank You for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
