Story
You won't find a more handsome, intelligent or silly boy than Sidney. He is about 3.5 years old and weighs 84 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show some barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he shows absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system) He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney, email rookiesrescue@yahoo.com for an application

Story
SAMMIE IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    "Hey there, I'm Sammie! I am a social butterfly who loves every dog I meet and really hope my future home has other pups to play with! In my foster home, my favorite times are snuggle time, playtime, and dinner time! I'm a pro at cleaning my plate. I am a bit curious about the resident kitty in my foster home, but I promise I've never been anything but polite! I'm well versed in 'sit' and adore a game of fetch. Give me a backyard, and I'll run myself into nap time. I've made many furry and human friends in my foster home, and they all seem to think I'm great! I'm working on mastering the leash and to not bark, but I am getting into the crate when asked! If you have a couch and endless love to give, I'm ready to be yours!" He is 4 years old and 65 lbs. He is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, and all shots including rabies shot. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Sammie up north after he is adopted.     To apply to adopt Sammie, go here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net .    Any questions, email us at newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .     THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 10:36 am

Story
Draco came as an owner surrender due to not having the experience with the breed. Draco is a 1 yr old shepherd true to the breed. He would do best with an active family with breed experience. Draco needs all basic and extensive training he did not receive as a puppy. He LOVES people and is very affectionate but not good with children. He is extremely vocal - especially when meeting other dogs - but does well with other calm docile medium/large dogs. Preference to fenced in yard If you're interested, please fill out an application on our website. www.naugatuckanimalcontrol.com

Story
This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
