Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. ​ McCartney is a handsome tri color who looks like he’ll grow up to be a statuesque German shepherd despite his Mom’s breed. His favorite activities are playing with his brother, Mom, and foster Uncle, cuddling, and chewing anything in sight! He loves exploring and finding new objects to parade around the house. There are signs he could be a good ball or frisbee fetcher. He is getting along great with housetraining - he pees right away when we take him out and usually makes it to a piddle pad area if we haven’t gotten him out fast enough.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. He tends to be timid at first but is always excited to get attention and treats. He is good with kids and larger passive dogs but needs a slow introduction. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. ​ Zena is a wonderful young lady. She loves to lay on our couch or bed and receive cuddles and scratches. She's friendly with everyone we've met so far, including other dogs, people, and kids. She does, however, have a strong prey drive and needs some work on leash training. But she does love going for a walk! She also loves our yard and would really benefit from a well-fenced yard and/or an active owner. I bet she'd be a good running companion. The two times she was off leash and out of our yard (unintentionally), she ranged around, sniffing for interesting prey items, but then returned, ecstatic to see us and our backyard.
