Story
Piper is a gentle, sensitive, deeply loving dog who forms very strong bonds with her people. She is calm in the home, enjoys lounging nearby, and has a sweet, quiet nature. She is fully house trained, walks nicely on a lead, and is well behaved at the vet and during grooming. We have a young toddler and another high-energy dog in the home, and the level of activity, noise, and unpredictability has proven to be too stressful for Piper’s sensitive temperament. She is not aggressive, but she becomes anxious when overstimulated or startled, and it’s clear she would be much happier in a calm, predictable environment. Piper thrives when life is peaceful and routine. She would do best in a quiet, adult-only home or with older, calm children, where she can feel safe and relaxed. In the right setting, she is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. We are looking for a patient, kind home that understands sensitive dogs.

Story
Hi all, meet my pup named Ollie who is in desperate need of a home asap. We are truly down to the wire —his placement just fell through and we are running out of options. He is a 1-year-old pitbull, neutered, and such a loving, playful, high-energy boy. He’s great with kids and people, very affectionate, and bonds deeply with his person. He has the biggest heart and so much love to give. He would thrive best in a home with a fenced backyard or space to run and play, and with someone who can give him lots of attention, exercise, and cuddles. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be your shadow and your best friend. If you or someone you know might be a good fit — or if you can help share this — please reach out to me ASAP. We are trying everything to make sure he goes to a safe, loving home. 🤍 Thank you so much for reading and sharing.

Story
Good With Kids: Kids over 12 Good With Other Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: No Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: No Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes Knows Basic Commands: Yes Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate to Low Special Needs: Physical Fence: N/A Favorite Toy / Activity: Cuddling on the couch and/or sun-bathing. Arrival story: Loved dearly by her family, Beta is seeking a new home due to changes in their circumstances. Approximate age / Weight: About 6 yrs old / 65 lbs. Personality: Beta is a 6-year-old pibble mix with a heart as big as her love for couch snuggles. If you sit down, she’s already planning how to sit with you—preferably touching. She lives for being close to her people and feels happiest when she’s included in everyday life, whether that is lounging in a sunny spot, supervising chores, or greeting guests like long-lost friends she’s thrilled to finally meet. She’s friendly and likes other dogs. Probably smarter than a 5th grader, you’ll want to keep her brain busy with enrichment toys and puzzles 😊. Beta has good house manners and is a generally easygoing gal… as long as her humans are nearby. When left alone too long, she can get anxious and may express her feelings through some light redecorating. Right now, she lives with a family that while home often there is a toddler making Beta anxious with his unpredictable movements and loud noises. Speaking of, she’s a great watchdog. Hears everything and wants to know what is going on. Cats? Hard pass. Beta says that’s a boundary. New Home: Beta is looking for a home where she doesn’t have to wonder where her people went. An adopter who works from home, is retired, or is around most of the day would be her dream come true. She’d love a home with another friendly dog, but she’d also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only shadow. Her ideal humans want a dog who is deeply affectionate, excited to greet friends, and happiest just being part of the daily rhythm of life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will warm your couch, your heart, and every sunny spot in your house—Beta might just be your girl. 🐾💛 CONTACT: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application.
