Story
Dear Friends, Meet Guts, our beloved (1.5 year old) German Shepherd. Due to recent life changes, we find ourselves in a situation where we must rehome him. It’s a decision that weighs heavily on our hearts, but we believe it’s in Guts’ best interest. Our living environment has become cramped, and Guts deserves room to stretch his paws and explore freely. He loves to run around large open environments, and our property is not ideal for his need to explore and run. We also have other animals in the house that do not like him or appreciate his presence. Guts is very loyal and curious. He loves to walk around each room to see what everyone is up to. He enjoys lettuce and other leafy greens, and his favorite treat are ice cubes. He needs space to explore and run around. We cant always provide him with that so he gets frustrated with us sometimes. I wish to see him paired with someone who absolutely loves dogs and understands how big dogs work. He is a big boy and needs a good leader.

Story
Adopted from rescue at 4 months old. Had medical issues. She just turned 3 years old on March 22nd. Sweet, affectionate dog. Great with dogs, kids, and cats. Has been sick for a year, cannot get her to gain weight. Believed she has IBS. Allergic to chicken and grains. Has crohnic diarrhea. Can mainly only eat salmon type food. Once healthy she will be a fun, energetic, playful and loving companion. I just don't have the funds available to give her what she needs and want to give her a chance with someone who can get her back to herself.

Story
NAME: Poppy BREED: Pit Bull Mix BIRTHDAY: 2023 WEIGHT: 50lbs ADOPTION FEE: $250   Poppy came to use from a small rural shelter in NC. We had pulled two lovely beagles from them and were happy to work with them again to save one more (even if "one more" was a half-grown pup!). Poppy was just like her videos- nervous but sweet and eager to make new dog friends. She's not sure about new people just yet (although she absolutely loves her foster mom and is a constant shadow/snuggle buddy), but just needs some time to get to know new human friends. She has shown no aggression towards strangers but may be a little rough for very small children. Poppy is house and crate trained, rides well in the car and needs work on leash walking. She lives with dogs of all sizes but would be fine as an only dog. Canine friends should be ready for a rough and pushy playmate, or ready to correct if they're only interested in a casual friendship. We do not recommend a home with cats. Fast approaching her terrible twos, Poppy will need basic training and structure to thrive in her new home. Of course, if you don't mind a little bit of chaos she is fine "as is"! Why take a chance on Poppy? There's nothing really extraordinary about her, she's just a regular brown pit bull. But that's why she needs your help- she has been overlooked for almost a year, and deserves more than a life in foster care. Please consider this good girl, or share if you are not able to adopt at this time.April 26, 2024, 12:04 am
