Story
Rosie is a sweet Siberian Husky with a touch of sass and wild spirit—true to her name, inspired by the Wild Rose, the official flower of Alberta, where she’s been fostered for the past three months. Rosie’s story almost ended too soon. She was abandoned by her owner at a crowded shelter and placed on the euthanasia list after she stopped eating out of depression. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time—and it turns out she does eat (and loves every bite)! We believe Rosie spent much of her early life tied up outside, with little exercise and minimal human contact. She also shows signs of past mistreatment. When she first arrived, she was terrified of everything. Over time, with love and patience, she’s begun to open up in the most heartwarming ways. But her progress is still ongoing—she’s shy, skittish around new experiences, and will need a home that understands that healing takes time. Rosie is terrified of children, so she needs a calm, stable, and kid-free home. She’ll thrive best with patient, loving adults who can provide structure and reassurance. She also loves having a dog best friend—another gentle, confident dog helps her feel more secure and playful. As Rosie’s confidence has grown, so has her personality. Once thought to be low energy, she’s now showing her mischievous, funny side. She adores running, exploring, and chasing squirrels—and when she feels safe, she’ll seek out belly rubs and snuggles that will melt your heart. She may not know all her commands yet, but she’s clever in her own way, and with love and consistency, she’ll continue to blossom. Rosie’s looking for a home where she can feel truly safe and finally learn that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

Story
Fin (Finnegan or Fingolfin) could be your next best adventure buddy. Fin is approximately 3 years old. He is a White German Shepherd husky mix. He is a very loyal boy who would benefit from an active person or couple who are confident with dogs. Fin would be the perfect companion to someone who enjoys the outdoors. He is a great running buddy (he is so fast!) and he would likely make a great cycling buddy with some training. Fin is adventurous and curious, but also sweet and empathetic. He is great with kids based on his foster history. Fin would likely thrive in a home where he gets attention, but he is okay to be left alone during the day if he is exercised properly. Fin is highly intelligent – so far, he is really enjoying games like hide and seek (he caught on instantly), and puzzles! He is highly trainable and wants to please his human companions. We want him to go to a home where he is given the proper exercise, stimulation, training, and love. He has so much potential – now he just needs the right family! Fin wants to be the best boy and is looking for his forever home with someone who will take him on all the best adventures! Is that person you? Fin was scheduled to be euthanized in California due to shelter capacity and an easily treatable illness. He is all clear medically and is in great health. Fin has a joie de vie that is infectious. He just wants to be a good boy and have fun every day. We love him so much and we know you will too!
