Phoenix's time was up at a California shelter and so he came to me as a foster in order to save him. Phoenix has been described as living art. With his gorgeous, soft coat of swirling red, brown, and gold and his ice blue eyes, he is truly a beauty from his head to his rare, polydactyl rear toes. His spirited energy only adds to his beauty, and he has positively enhanced and harnessed that energy through a training program where he excelled in the basics: house training, heel, sit, stay, and come. He even waits at thresholds! Phoenix has been socialized and still is puppy like. He is a dominant personality yet dog friendly. He is kid friendly as well and has recently been trained to keep all four feet on the ground so older kids or no kids is recommended until he shows consistency in the next few months. “ This guy brings sunshine to every interaction…and, at any time of day, he is happy to simply lean on you, snuggle, or prance through the activity of your choice.

This beautiful German Shepherd girl was found as a stray, pregnant and clearly having been through more than her share of hard times. We don’t know her full story, but her body told us enough—she’s known struggle, hunger, and heartbreak.   Willow gave birth to 8 precious puppies, but tragically, only 3 survived. Even through her grief, she’s been an amazing mama—gentle, nurturing, and strong.   She’s on the smaller side for a German Shepherd, but her heart is huge. Willow is potty trained, great on leash, learning her name, and loves being close to her people. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, enjoys playing in water, and has even proven herself to be a great little mouse catcher!   Willow is loyal, loving, and ready for a fresh start. She deserves a home full of kindness, comfort, and people who see the beauty in her resilience.   If you think Willow could be part of your story, reach out. Meet Ginger – A Gentle Soul Searching for Her Forever Home Ginger is a sweet and loyal girl who has given her whole heart to her humans, only to find herself waiting for a family once again. At 10 years old, she deserves to spend her golden years surrounded by love, peace, and stability. Ginger's foster family love her. She is loyal to her folks. She will bark at someone at the door and makes it very clear she is there to make sure no one does anything to her people. In reality Ginger would rather hang out with her people. She bonds hard and loves unconditionally. She does need a family or person that is shepherd savvy.   Ginger is great with dog friendly dogs and in fact she can keep up with much younger dogs. Do not think because Ginger is a senior she is not capable. Ginger is able to jump into the back of a truck with no issues and can go on long walks with absolutely no issues.  Ginger is house-trained as well crate-trained, and she enjoys her walks, though she may pull a bit when excited. More than anything, she just wants a soft bed, gentle hands, and a family who will never let her go again. She would love to spend a rainy day laying on the bed cuddling or going on a road trip.  Senior dogs like Ginger have so much to give—they are wise, grateful, and deeply devoted.
