Story
Phoenix's time was up at a California shelter and so he came to me as a foster in order to save him. Phoenix has been described as living art. With his gorgeous, soft coat of swirling red, brown, and gold and his ice blue eyes, he is truly a beauty from his head to his rare, polydactyl rear toes. His spirited energy only adds to his beauty, and he has positively enhanced and harnessed that energy through a training program where he excelled in the basics: house training, heel, sit, stay, and come. He even waits at thresholds! Phoenix has been socialized and still is puppy like. He is a dominant personality yet dog friendly. He is kid friendly as well and has recently been trained to keep all four feet on the ground so older kids or no kids is recommended until he shows consistency in the next few months. “ This guy brings sunshine to every interaction…and, at any time of day, he is happy to simply lean on you, snuggle, or prance through the activity of your choice.

Story
Echo is a chill, smart and loving dog that settled in quickly and smoothly into his foster home. Highly trainable, and polite on a leash, he catches on quite quickly to instructions and loves his structure. He enjoys a typical day playing and socializing, having a blast on his multiple daily walks, and cuddling up at night on the couch. He is a homebody at night, and oh boy he loves his outings during the day. Echo loves to run! His foster sibling can attest to the fact that he is comfortable with other dogs and would make a fantastic doggy sibling. He is not particularly fond of toys or bones, but he sure loves his food! He must have some awesome doggy dreams because he sleeps like an angel. He thrives with patient, caring people who are comfortable going slow with his physical space, so he'd be best-suited with older, dog-savvy kids. (He warmed up fast in his patient and caring foster home.) He prefers to be with people than to be alone, so he’ll be one happy boy if he gets to be your working buddy! Echo (51 pounds) will be the happiest dog in a home that can provide patience, continued socialization and training, and lots of exercise with plenty of love thrown in. Could you be that family? Apply to adopt Echo today! (SG)

Story
Loki is a 4 year old husky mix who came to Rocket Dog after his owner passed away. Loki has been living with his friend Quinn. They rely on each other for comfort and companionship, and must be adopted together. These dogs are typical huskies - active, energetic, vocal, and playful - but they have great training and would adapt well to a home environment. They would do best in a home who has experience with huskies or has done the necessary research and prepared themselves for caring for these special dogs. Loki is an extra-large guy and does need to lose some weight. He currently weighs in at around 110 pounds.

Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereKris is an 8-year-old, 70-pound sweetheart who may be a senior on paper, but he’s got the athleticism and enthusiasm of a younger dog. He’s playful and can catch a ball midair like an absolute champ. If fetch is your love language, Kris is already fluent! His foster family reports Kris is the definition of easy. He’s fully potty trained, relaxed, and happy to entertain himself with toys or settle in beside you once he’s had his fun. He has wonderful house manners and has an all-around good-natured temperament. He knows cues like sit, enjoys learning, and loves pleasing his people. He’s excellent on leash, making walks smooth and enjoyable. He’s curious and loves exploring, but always with a calm, steady energy. Kris was a family dog before arriving at the shelter, and you can feel how ready he is to be part of a home again. He’d be happy as your one-and-only companion or potentially a good match for another mellow dog. This smiley gentleman can’t wait to meet the new family he’ll love forever. Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Diana Marie (@adoptthisoasdog)  December 1, 2025, 1:31 pm
