Story
Pikachu is a 3-year-old white Shiba Inu who perfectly embodies his breed’s smart, independent, and stubborn nature. While he is very friendly toward people, he is a sensitive boy who can be alert or nervous around new dogs; however, once he forms a bond, he coexists happily with others. He thrives in a home with a fenced yard where he can burn off his morning energy, especially on his favorite snowy days, and he loves fetching balls or being chased during playtime. Although his independent streak can lead to lower obedience, Pikachu is highly food-motivated, making training much more effective. He is looking for a loving new home because a family member was recently diagnosed with severe asthma and allergies.

Story
Meet Dongree   Breed: Shiba mix Age: 4 years old Sex: Spayed female Colour: Brown Weight: 14kg Height (to shoulder): 45cm   Rescue Story   Donggree was rescued from a city shelter’s euthanasia list and has been waiting patiently ever since for a family of her own.   She may take a few days to open up — usually between 3 days to a week — but once she feels safe, her loving and playful personality shines through. She’s affectionate with familiar people and allows gentle handling or even being lifted once trust is built.   Personality & Socialization   Donggree has the classic Shiba mix personality — a little cautious at first, independent, yet deeply loyal once she bonds with you.   She gets along well with most dogs, both larger and smaller, but can react if another dog challenges her. For this reason, careful introductions with new dogs are recommended. With friendly dogs, however, she loves to play and enjoys companionship.   Her reaction to cats hasn’t been observed yet.   Energy Level & Behavior   Donggree has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor walks and activities but settles calmly afterward. She walks well overall, though she may pull on the leash occasionally. Once the leash is on, she follows nicely and enjoys the walk.   She doesn’t guard food from people or other dogs and behaves quietly in her kennel. She feels anxious about car rides, so she prefers to be held during transport.   She’s comfortable using both pee pads indoors and pottying outdoors, which makes her adaptable to different home environments.   A Loyal and Independent Spirit   Donggree is a bright, affectionate girl with that unmistakable Shiba charm — loyal, clean, and quietly confident. She may be cautious at first, but with patience and consistency, she opens up to reveal a loving heart.   Once she trusts you, she’ll become your faithful shadow, following you with her signature calm energy and gentle eyes.   Ideal Home: A patient and understanding family who can give her the time she needs to build trust. A home that appreciates the independent but affectionate nature of Shiba mixes would be perfect for her.   Donggree may take a little time to trust, but once she does, she’ll stay by your side for life — loyal, loving, and full of quiet strength. Story
Meet Ttre Age: 5 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Shiba Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 19 kg Height: 54 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story In September 2021, a report was made that young puppies were being physically abused by their owner. The puppies were rescued and transferred to a local shelter, but they later faced imminent euthanasia. A private rescuer stepped in and saved them.   Since then, the rescuer shared Ttre’s adoption profile with multiple organizations, yet not a single adoption inquiry came through. Ttre is currently being fostered by a local professional trainer, where she has been living in a stable and structured environment.   Human Social Skills   Ttre is an exceptionally affectionate dog who loves people. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, rubbing against them and allowing easy handling. With treats, she often showers people with kisses.   She has no preference between men or women and is gentle and affectionate even with children under 13. She can be comfortably lifted by placing an arm under her belly, and when she’s feeling relaxed and happy, she will even show her belly to people she’s just met.   Dog Social Skills When meeting unfamiliar dogs, Ttre will approach to sniff but does not immediately initiate play. She enjoys playing and goofing around with dogs she feels comfortable with, but in general, she is far more people-oriented than dog-oriented.   She does not like overly high-energy or provocative dogs well. While she isn’t aggressive (mostly just vocal), she also doesn’t quietly endure uncomfortable situations. She carries some classic Shiba-like personality traits.   Cats During walks, she may look at cats with curiosity, but she follows human guidance well and redirects easily. Cat testing is available upon request.   Energy Level Moderate energy. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once her exercise needs are met, she settles down calmly and rests well indoors.   Walks Ttre has plenty of leash experience and generally walks nicely without pulling, staying attentive to her handler. She can be a bit distractible at times and may show mild stubbornness if she has a preferred direction—true to her breed mix.   Other Behaviors • No food guarding (with people or dogs) • Rarely barks • Calm and cooperative in a kennel • Gets in and out of the car on her own • Primarily does her business outdoors   Ttre is a dog who has waited quietly for far too long—not because she isn’t wonderful, but because she was overlooked. She would thrive in a home that appreciates her people-focused nature, respects her boundaries with other dogs, and offers her the companionship she has always been ready to give.   If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and emotionally mature companion, Ttre may be the one you’ve been waiting for. QUICK FACTS Name: Miller Age: 3 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Shiba & Jindo mix Color: Beige & Cream Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I’m not sure how I ended up all alone in the city pound, but I was placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t enough space for dogs like me. Despite that scary chapter, I never lost my gentle, loving heart—and now I’m just hoping to find the forever family who will give me the safe, happy life I’ve been waiting for.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues I had to undergo surgery to remove my right eye, but my left eye has good vision and no issues.   MY PERSONALITY Hi! I’m Miller. I’m not sure how my right eye got injured, but when I was rescued, it was in a very bad shape and I needed surgery to have it removed. Even with just my left eye, I don’t let it slow me down or dampen my spirit! I’m a sweet, gentle boy who truly loves people. I’m naturally a little shy at first, but with patience I warm up—and volunteers and staff can always see that I want to interact, even if I hesitate in the beginning. I’m getting braver every day, learning to trust more, and showing more of my affectionate, friendly side as I grow confident.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be shy in the beginning, but I’ll gently take treats from your hand. After I warm up, I’m comfortable with pets and gentle affection. Once trust is established, I can be picked up. I’m a sweet boy who enjoys people, and as I grow more confident and settled in my new home, I’ll become a loyal shadow. · With Dogs: I’m pretty indifferent with other dogs. I can get overwhelmed by high-energy pups and prefer to do my own thing, calmly observing the environment. If another dog is rude or pushy, I simply walk away from the drama and avoid conflict. ·With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to find the best match!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m just as happy to snuggle up indoors afterward.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs—in fact, I have a big appetite and love treats, so I’m eager to please and learn. I’m confident I’ll pick up training quickly. I’m very quiet and rarely bark, and I know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I do struggle with car rides, as I can get motion sickness. I potty both indoors (on pee pads) and outdoors, though I may mark a little when I’m adjusting to a new environment.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment. A family that understands my rough past and is patient with me throughout and continue to provide me with basic training and socialization. A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together. A family that will love and cherish me forever. Ideally, a family experienced with Shibas and primitive breeds. The only dog in the household.   SPECIAL NOTES Don’t let my shyness fool you—I’m a sweet boy who really does like people. I just need a little time at first to show my affectionate side. I’m improving every day, and I’m confident that in a loving home I’ll fully come out of my shell and express myself. I wag my tail and show interest in people, even if I hesitate at the start. I love treats and I’m very food-motivated, so I’m eager to learn and please. I’m considered to be a level 3 rescue dog, meaning I will take at least a week to open up and feel more settled in a new environment. I must wear my martingale collar at all times and double-leashed to my harness and collar with a GPS tracker when outside to keep me safe.   Miller's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2595121##

Story
Hi… my name is Gaon 🐕 I’m a 4-year-old male Shiba × Jindo mix, and I weigh about 18kg. I was once placed on a shelter’s euthanasia list. Even after I was rescued, no one came for me for a very long time. The shelter became the only home I knew—far longer than any dog should have to endure. When people approach me, I don’t rush forward with excitement. Instead, I watch carefully. I’m afraid you might leave. Afraid I might be alone again. So I open my heart slowly, cautiously. But behind that hesitation is a heart that longs deeply to love a person. I simply never learned how to show it. I went so long without being chosen, without being loved, that I don’t always know how to ask for affection. That’s why I struggle when attention is shared with other dogs. It’s not jealousy—it’s more like a quiet plea: “Please don’t leave me this time.” That’s why I’m hoping for an only-dog home, where I can finally feel secure. When it’s just you and me, I’m a completely different dog. I’ll meet your eyes, lean gently against you, and offer shy little gestures of affection. Once I give my heart, I give it fully— with the deep, unwavering loyalty that Jindo dogs are known for. Home life may feel unfamiliar to me at first. I’ll need time, patience, and understanding. But if you’re willing to walk that slow beginning with me, I promise you this: I will become a dog who makes one person my whole world. A once-in-a-lifetime companion who loves quietly, deeply, and forever. Somewhere in a shelter, I’m still waiting— waiting for the one person who will call my name and mean it for life.
