Story
Hi! This is Casper, a delightful, 4-year-old Miniature Poodle. I’ve had him since he was a tiny, one-month-old puppy, and he has been a source of constant joy ever since! Casper is incredibly joyful, silly, and playful. He loves a good game of "keep away" with his favorite toys and gets adorably excited the second he sees his leash for a walk. Poodles are smart and loving, and Casper is no exception! Good with Dogs: He gets along very well with other dogs. Good with Kids: He is great with children, making him a perfect fit for a family environment. Training: He's house trained and knows basic commands like stay and sit. Unfortunately, I am moving and need to rehome Casper and his sister, Athena. They have been together their entire lives, and they share an incredibly strong bond. I am strongly hoping to adopt them together.

Story
Harriet is an adorable and snuggly little girl. She was abandoned by someone who opened their car door and let her out at a dog park and drove away! She loves to sleep at the foot of the bed, enjoys long walks but also likes to be a couch potato. She is great with the resident small dog--super respectful with him and follows his lead. She's met bigger dogs on the street that she's been fine with. She does have a little bit of separation anxiety. It was worse when she first arrived in care, but she seems to understand she is safe now so she whines for a minute or so when you leave and also when you get back because she's relieved and happy! She barks when people come to the door but is otherwise chill. She gets along great with the resident cat. Harriet really is a little gem who just wants to be cuddled, loved and fed--she does like to chow down ;-) She would make a great second dog--super easy and she loves to cuddle next to her foster brother. But she is also fine to go on her own as she is very motivated to be next to her human.

Story
Beautiful Bella and her dad, Eli, were rescued from lives as working dogs for a breeder who treated them as property. Poor Bella had been bred so many times during her eight years of life that her insides were severely swollen and infected. Critter Cavalry arrived just in time to save her from a painful death.  Bella is now happy and healthy as she slowly adjusts to life as a pet. She is a very smart girl who just wants to be near you. While she is not needy, she is keenly aware of where her foster mom is and likes to see her. Bella has learned to use the doggie door and is now housebroken. This process was easy for her because she follows her foster mom everywhere.  The most challenging hurdle Bella has faced so far has been discovering the freedom of the outdoors, along with the sensation of soft grass beneath her feet, which felt strange at first compared to the concrete she was used to. Learning to sleep with her foster mom was extremely easy for her; she thrives on the closeness and warmth. Bella will be a loyal companion for the right family. She needs a quiet, loving home where she feels safe and is treated with patience and understanding. At eight years old, Bella is not old for a poodle—she has a lot of life left to live and much untapped love waiting to be shared with her new family. (Please note: no small children.) If you are interested in considering Bella as a permanent member of your family and would like to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. An approved application and adoption fee are required. Bella is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.December 20, 2025, 12:12 am
