Story
Oliver, also known as Ollie, is a gorgeous Havanese mix male that is between 6-10 months old. Ollie was found wandering the streets of south Texas when a good Samaritan found him and got him safe. Unfortunately, nobody came forward for him. While adorable, don’t let this boy fool you. He is very energetic and active. He is full of puppy energy. Oliver is the little energizer bunny that doesn’t know when to stop sometimes. If you know active dogs, a bored dog can be a bad dog. Ollie is not a bad dog, but he does need a family that has patience that will work with him on his training and proper exercising/playing. Ollie is a little spazzy. He goes so fast he forgets to look around him and notice what or who he is next to, so sometimes he is known for scaring himself. He is absolutely LOVES snuggles. The foster has said this about him: Quirks? He tilts his head and stares at you when he is trying to get your attention then will launch himself at you with kisses. He constantly needs reassurance. Temperament? Loves and needs to be around people more often than not. Very playful. Crate Trained? Yes, but he does not like the kennel at all. He does not seem to appreciate being out of sight from his humans. Will whine until he calms himself down. House trained? Yes Kids? Ideally older ones who can play with him and give him lots of attention and play time Other dogs? He can be a lot around other dogs that are not as playful, he needs another dog that can guide him and/or match his energy Cats? He has not been cat tested, but he may be a bit too energetic for most cats. He loves his dog bed and enjoys car rides. Ollie needs a loving, adventurous, and patient home that will offer him reassurance, lots of cuddles and the ability to grow into the kind, amazing boy that he truly is. Ollie will be neutered, heart worm tested, current on rabies vaccine, parvo/distemper vaccine, bordatella, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, dewormed, and microchipped. He will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. Story
Kodi is a 10-year-old small terrier mix with a black coat, a perfectly frosted nose, and absolutely no idea that he’s considered a “senior.” He’s got the energy of a dog years younger and keeps up just fine with his much younger foster siblings.Kodi loves his people. Like… loves them. If you’re in a room, he will be too. If you’re sitting, he’s beside you. If you’re lying down, expect kisses. About 95% of his time is spent being with his humans; the other 5% is split between sleeping in the bed, destroying toys (mini-terrier style), and waiting for dinner like it’s the most important event of the day.He is crate trained, potty trained (the few accidents were human error, not his), knows “sit,” and walks nicely on leash. He enjoys his walks, is easy to leash, and greets new people and dogs with enthusiasm. He can be a little barky and extra friendly at first, but it’s all just excitement — he genuinely wants to be everyone’s best friend.Kodi has no behavioral issues and a whole lot of love to give. He hasn’t met cats yet, but given his size and friendly nature, a confident cat would likely roll their eyes and move on.If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a professional cuddle bug, and a dog who will celebrate your return home like it’s the best moment of his life, Kodi is ready to sign up for forever. If you’d like to take Kodi home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
Bentley is a 5 year old adult dog and I acquired him through a private rehoming from a family in Baltimore County about 4.5 months ago. He is affectionate, intelligent, playful, and very people-oriented. He enjoys being close to his person, going on walks, car rides, and being involved in daily activities. He has a big personality and is very expressive. Bentley loves other dogs but is still learning social cues, such as recognizing when another dog wants to stop playing, due to limited socialization before coming to live with me. He does best in a home with regular engagement and supervision throughout the day and is not a dog who thrives with long periods of unsupervised independence. He's crate trained and finds comfort in going inside. Due to an unexpected change in my schedule, I am no longer able to provide the level of involvement he needs, I love him but am seeking a home that is a better long-term fit. He comes with a crate, toys, treats, food, his favorite blanket and more.

Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.
