Who's gray and white and ready to snuggle with her people all day? I'll give you a hint ... it's me! My name is Chloe, and I'm looking for a furever home that has a lifetime supply of belly rubs, sunny patches for naps, and fancy dog treats.Aside from being adorable, I am also deaf, so I'm most comfortable when people approach me from the front so I can see them coming. Like anyone else, I'm not a big fan of having anybody sneak up behind me! I LOVE to be with people and will happily spend the day by your side (especially if you're good at giving belly rubs). I don't mind other dogs, but I would also be fine as an only pup getting your love all to myself. I will need eye ointment twice a day, but I really enjoy having it applied! I do well on a leash for walks, but prefer not to be in a crate -- I'll wait for you to come home from any outing by napping on the couch instead. Toys aren't really my thing, but I will NEVER say no to a good treat! So, if you find yourself with extra love to give, you should come and take me home. I'll take all the love you've got!If you'd like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website - https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application - and choose me, Chloe! My adoption fee is $150 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We've been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we've started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

BONDED PAIR, MUST ADOPT BOTH Hi. I'm Bitzee, a 9 y/o golden/white female shitsu. I'm part of a bonded pair with my 13 y/o chi mix Judah Chase. You see, our owner had to go into hospice care and it broke her heart to give us up. She made the rescue lady promise to adopt us together as we have always lived in the same household and don't know any different. My brother and I get along very well and it is kind of like getting 2 for the price of 1. I am currently about 4 pounds overweight ( currently 14 pounds) but foster Mom is diligently working on that with me. Despite being overweight, I am playful and like to go for walks. I had previously lived in an apartment and hadn't been able to get much exercise because of my owner's health. I had been going potty on potty pads but am now learning to go outside through the doggy door. My brother has already mastered the doggy door and I should soon. I like to go for car rides and am kennel trained. I am able to be kept unkenneled without being destructive and am not a huge barker. I am extremely loyal and like to follow my human around. I am good with children and other small dogs. It is unknown as to how I would do with large dogs or cats since foster mom doesn't have either. So, if you are interested in a bonded pair of small dogs, have your peeps contact my peeps and let's get this love fest started. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Animal Care & Control is looking for a rescue group to assist in placing Muppet in a foster home, prior to adoption, in an effort to best set him up for success. The shelter is a tough place for dogs right now because it is full and there are a limited number of volunteers to get them out each day. Muppet and many others could really use your help!October 8, 2024, 9:48 am

Story
Roger will gladly flop over for a belly rub and loves lounging around the house. This sweet guy will make a great companion. He has a larger crate with toys and blankets, which he treats as his "man cave". He loves treats, is food motivated, and likes to sit near his humans (but will wiggle away if you try to pick him up!) He is house trained and learning commands. He needs to be the only dog in a home without small children who might startle the little 15 pound guy!

Story
Mikey is the seven-year-old adorable Shih Tzu. His original owner passed away and I adopted him from the owners son. I adore him and would love to keep him, but I travel too much. He needs to be adopted to a home where he will be the only dog. He loves to go for walks and he’s very energetic. He loves to play with toys. But his all-time favorite thing is to watch out the window.

Story
Tiffany was in pretty bad condition when we picked her up from the PG shelter in December. She weighed just 6 ½ pounds and had recently been shaved due to being matted. Her eyes were in AWFUL condition and as a result, she has had multiple eye surgeries. She had her left eye removed and can only see shadows and movement with her right eye. She will need to continue with eye drops multiple times a day for the rest of her life. She doesn’t mind getting the drops in but does not like to have her eye cleaned. She also has some allergies and is currently receiving a Cytopoint shot as needed and periodic medicated baths. She lives with 2 other small dogs and gets along well with them. I am not sure about cats and she would be best with kids over 12 years old. When the dogs start barking, she joins in and continues even after the “threat” is gone since she has no idea why she’s barking..lol. Tiffany adjusted to her surroundings quickly and has her own room where we feed her and have pee pads laid out for her. She LOVES to eat!! She will let you know when it is mealtime and we have not found any food she does not like!! She has free rein of the home and is non-destructive when left alone (on average about 6-7 hours a day). She sleeps in my bed at night along with the rest of the dogs! I have not crated her at all. She needs to be carried down the stairs but is able to go up the stairs on her own. If there are stairs in the home, there must be a gate to prevent her from falling. We use steps for her to get on and off the couch. She loves to be on the bed and will let you know when she needs to be lifted up. She has recently started playing with toys and tries to play with her doggie siblings every once in a while but she just keeps barking in their face and they don’t understand what she wants. She gets happy feet when she gets excited. She also greets us at the door when we get home! She walks well on leash but is rather slow because she loves to stop and sniff everything. She also has a doggie stroller that she likes to sit in and also likes to be carried. She wants to be in the same room as you and prefers to be laying on a pillow or on your lap. We think she should have an older doggie sibling so she is never alone. She definitely likes to be part of a pack. If you would like to add her to yours, apply today! Story
Due to the large number of applications we have received for Sweetie already, we are not currently accepting new ones until we have a chance to process the existing ones. If you have already submitted an application, we will be in touch sometime in the next week or so. My name is Sweetie. I am female and about 2 years old. I am a 10-pound Shih-Tzu-Havanese mix. My name should be Snuggles or Cuddles because I love to snuggle and cuddle and get ear scratches and tummy rubs. I get along well with the 3 dogs in the house—2 chihuahuas and a Yorkie. I even get along with other little dogs that come to visit. I am house trained: I follow the other dogs into the yard and back into the house. I love to run in the back yard to chase squirrels and deer, play tug-of-war with my stuffed animals and chew on my favorite bone. I am a little timid when meeting people for the first time, so I need to take my time to get to know you. But once I know you, I will smother you with kisses. My Profile Age: 2 years Weight: 10 lbs Good with kids: I’m good with kids over 14 years old Good with dogs: Yes, especially small (15lbs or smaller) Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard: Preferred Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: Yes House trained: Yes, she behaves with the pack Crate trained: No, but she sleeps in her crate Barks when left alone: No, but she gets anxious when left alone and will chew/eat anything left unattended Chews inappropriate items: No Training: I'm still working on it, but I know how to sit! Activity level: Medium Meet Me If you are interested in Sweetie, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us.
