Story
Bella is an adorable poodle Shih Tzu mix with a spicy personality. Bella was supposed to be with me temporarily as her owner was moved into a nursing home. The temporary arrangement turned into two years. Unfortunately, we’re at the point where we just can no longer afford to take care of Bella or give her the time that she needs. Bella loves hugs and cuddles, and it’s very possessive of her owner. Bella is house train, but because we don’t have the time to spend with her she’s gotten used to peeing inside the house on doggy pads. She also spends a lot of time in a cage, which is not something she was used to before she came to us. So Bella may need more training to get back acclimated to being around the house dogs. Her personality is a mixture between active and laid-back. She loves to run around. She loves to play, but she also loves to just lay down and cuddle. With us already having three kids and two other pets we don’t have the time to spend with Bella.

Please contact Destiny Sibert (DestinyS@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young boy seeking fresh start and love! ROSS NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Ross       Best Guess for Breed:  Poodle mix    Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of November 2025      SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:   31.5 lbs   Gets Along With:Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here! Special adoption considerations: Ross is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but landed in a place where heartworm treatment is provided! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to discuss where in the treatment process this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left!   Ross is Looking For:  Hi! I'm Ross. I'm a young pup who hasn't seen nearly enough of the world and I can't wait to do that by my humans' side! Sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures they can dream up - sounds awazing to me. Going to dog school would be great, too, so I can show how super smart I am. And see my coat? That's a poodle coat. They are super high maintenance - I need daily brushing plus regular professional grooming. I get matted very easily and mats hurt! I don't have opposable thumbs so I need humans who are committed to taking care of that. I was very matted when I came into the shelter and that is not cool.    In exchange, what do you get? I'm a super smart and all-around awesome dog ready to be right there by your side on all your adventures. And above all - I promise love and loyal companionship for all my days. What do you say? Do I get to go home with you? What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once he has spent time in foster care  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:    The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Chip-English Boodle (Olde English Bulldog/Poodle) male puppies, DOB 2-4-25 (Aug. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application A lovely Olde English Bulldog female came to rescue when abandon by the Puppy Mill that had been breeding her and many others. A Dog Trainer took in several of the adults and one female, Cookie, turned out to be pregnant. She delivered the babies on 2-4-25. We had 3 boys and 2 girls. They are doing great, growing, playing with each other and just loving the human attention. They are black and white...a couple have a little brown on their faces. A picture of momma/Cookie is included. We believe the father was a Standard Poodle at the Puppy Mill. The siblings have been adopted, leaving Chip the one waiting for a home yet. We hear from the sisters and brothers in their new homes. They are finishing their Obedience training and have become much loved puppies with their new family. Everyone says how personable and smart they are. This is not a surprise to us...this is what the breeding says they should be. The English Boodle, created by crossing the English Bulldog and the Poodle, is a medium sized designer dog exhibiting a combination of the typical characteristics found in its parent breeds. Being smart like the Poodle and friendly as the English Bulldog, it has become one of the most popular family pets. The English Boodle is an excellent designer breed that combines the best traits of both parent breeds. You'll find these dogs are affectionate and intelligent, inheriting the Bulldog's gentle nature and the Poodle's quick-learning abilities. Highly family oriented, they are good with children and make great pets. Chip is a healthy, friend, robust boy. He's a lovely puppy. He is a nice mix of black and white in color. A testimony from their foster Dad, he says they are exceptionally quick to learn and so willing to please the humans in their life. Don't miss an opportunity of your life, to give this sweet boy a home and he will fill your life with love and laughter. Chip's adoption fee will be $450 to help cover for their medical expenses and care so far in this short sweet lives. for our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Please include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Meet Pumpkin 🐾 Pumpkin is a sweet 5-month-old pup with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. She’s already house trained, loves attention, and tries her best to be a good girl every day. Pumpkin enjoys cuddles just as much as playtime, and she has a way of making people smile without even trying. She’s still a baby, full of curiosity and love, and she’s at the perfect age to grow alongside a family who can give her the time, care, and affection she deserves. Pumpkin would do great in a home where she can be loved, guided, and treated as part of the family. Finding Pumpkin the right home is important — one filled with patience, kindness, and lots of love. She’s ready to give her whole heart to someone special and become a loyal best friend for years to come.

Story
AJ is a mini Goldendoodle we purchased from Blue Skies Puppies in Orlando. She’s a sweet, playful, and very cuddly girl who loves being around people and getting attention. We are rehoming her because I am currently pregnant and not able to financially care for her or give her the level of attention she deserves. AJ is not spayed yet. She is still working on her house training. She’s mostly good, but she does have occasional excited accidents. With consistency and patience, she’ll continue to improve. AJ, like many in her breed, has sensitive ears. Due to recent changes in our schedule, we have not been able to keep up with the consistent ear cleaning and maintenance she requires, and she may need a check-up upon adoption. Her new owner should be prepared for routine ear cleaning. She would do best with someone who has time to play with her, give her lots of affection, and continue her training. She has a loving personality and will make a wonderful companion for the right home.
