Story
Luigi is a great fun-loving young adult who does great with both people and dogs. He sleeps through the night (can be on a dog bed or in a crate but he prefers the couch with the other dogs), is potty-trained, leash-trained and best of all, great off-leash on hikes with his crew! Luigi would love a home where his people are home most of the time, can take him on outings or to work, or who have another dog to keep him company. If this adorable and friendly guy seems like a fit for you, please fill out an application and come meet him today!

Story
Seabright, a bubbly Shih Tzu mix with a summer pixie cut, is deeply in touch with her inner puppy. She romps, hugs, and kisses with abandon; considers every dog a bestie, and every human a font of playful affection. She’s also irresistible, which makes her a perfect vehicle for meeting everyone in the neighborhood. Or, she has a promising future in sales. Either way or both, she’s a priceless addition to any family with TLC and energy to spare. Snuggling definitely included.

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereLouie is the perfect pooch for a quiet and calm household looking for a quirky and cute senior! Louie is great (independent) with both cats and dogs, so would be fine in a home as the only pet or with other low energy friends. Since he can’t see perfectly, he may get startled with a more high energy roomie! For this reason he would do best in a home without kids.  Louie’s perfect day would involve lots of time with his people getting back scratches, cruising around outside, treats, and lots of snoring naps on a comfy dog bed! He had a rough start to life and will need medication 4x per day for his epilepsy, though he takes meds in pill pockets like a champ! He is on his way to being fully potty trained. He will need regular grooming but got glowing reviews from his prior groomers!  Do you have the perfect couch he has been looking for? Buddy is a rescue. He likes a lot of attention. He is a good boy. He does suffer from allergies but Ithink it is because I back up to a creek and have lots of bay leaf trees oak and eucalyptus. While getting my house ready forsale I had Integrity K9 keep himfor a month and train him. He is uneasy around ment at the beginning. Need to introduce himslowly to men then he will be fine.

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.     Adoption Fee: $700 Breed: Shih Tzu–Poodle mix Age: ~2 years old Weight: ~14 lbs Coat: Non-shedding Rescued from the shelter Meet Rustic, a sweet and soulful Shih-Poo who’s equal parts mellow couch buddy and curious little thinker. At about 2 years old and 14 pounds, Rustic is the definition of calm companionship. His ideal day includes long naps, quiet moments beside you in the kitchen or office, and plenty of relaxing in the shade. Rustic came to us from the shelter and has been adjusting beautifully to home life. He’s completely house-trained, hasn’t had a single accident in his foster home, and sleeps through the night in his pen—as long as he knows he’s not completely alone. He’s not a fan of crates and would prefer a cozy bed near you or in the same room. His foster nicknamed him “McGyver” because he’s so clever—yes, he can climb out of an x-pen, but he usually doesn’t if he feels safe and settled. This gentle boy is good with people and polite with other dogs, although he starts out a bit shy. He’ll happily let another dog do the sniff-and-greet and observe quietly before joining in. He’s still building confidence on leash, but he’s getting the hang of it and enjoys his short walks. Toys? Not his thing. He’s more of a “you go get it” guy when a ball is tossed—but he might surprise you one day. Rustic doesn’t shed and has a soft, low-maintenance coat. He hasn’t had a bath in foster care yet, but he’s been easygoing about everything else, so grooming should be a breeze with a gentle approach. He did great on a car ride in a crate but would likely prefer a doggy seatbelt next time so he can look around and be near you. This sensitive pup is still building his confidence. He takes time to observe new people, environments—even TV shows (he once watched a golf match with intense focus and let out a few soft barks when a questionable club choice was made). He wants to be near his person and is happiest when he knows he’s not alone. With time and a consistent routine, he’ll grow more secure. Rustic would do best in a calm home with someone who’s around often or works from home. He doesn’t need constant activity—just companionship, consistency, and a gentle hand to help him keep blooming into his best self. If you're looking for a quiet, loving, and thoughtful pup to share your days and your heart, Rustic is ready to find his person.Note from first foster home: I could actually leave him in his crate as long as the other dogs were downstairs with him. So I think he would enjoy having a doggie friend for support. But otherwise great.  He is such a snuggle bug and I think once he finds his long term family and security, he will become more confident and be ok with being left alone. It just takes time and love.June 12, 2025, 4:38 am
