Red & Rosie are 6 years old Shih Tzu/ Pug mixes. They are closely bonded & must be adopted together. Both are very friendly with people. they are sweet and super affectionate. They are playful and love toys and REALLY love treats! They are extremely dog- selective and should be in a home that has no other dogs. they have been shown to aggrevate and bother a kitty every time they see one. Red is quite the jumper and can easily clear a 3' gate. They are crate trained and will use a pee pad if left inside too long & not taken out to potty. Rosie and Red are best friends but that doesn’t mean they are always lovey-dovey. Nothing to fear! They work it out in a matter of seconds and go right back to being besties. They are two sweet, funny, affectionate and entertaining dogs! Because they are considered "seniors" the adoption fee for both is $300. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Milo is officially up for adoption! Get in to adoption hours to apply for him before another lucky family scoops him up. He was born on 4/23/24 and is a handsome Shih Tzu. He was recently groomed by the amazing team at D'Tails and smells as great as he looks. He is up to date on vaccinations. *PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. We apologize for the inconvenience. HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and full out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. 2. We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. 3. We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. She is so much fun! She loves to play, and run around and if you lack kisses, she will certainly make up for that! Lol.  She rarely barks unless she hears another dog bark, then she puts in her 2 cents. Lol. She has a hefty appetite for such a little girl and loves her treats!   She does pretty well on a leash, although she wraps me up in it sometimes. She’s just excited to be going outside!   She’s doing very well with potty training but will go on a puppy pad if she has the need.  She loves her toys and always wants all the attention in the house.  She is UTD on all vaccines and just went to the salon!  You can always hit me up for more info if needed. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation.
