Story
Meet Bruno! Bruno is about 7 years old, 14 lbs, and he may have some Shih Tzu in his mix! He is a local owner surrender because the person doesn't have enough time for him and wants him to be home with someone. He does great with his house-training, is not crated and likes to go on leash-walks. He does bark at other dogs on leash. He could go to a home with kids 10+, and would love to be an only dog. Cats are unknown. His foster says, "He would do great in a home of a retiree or someone who is home throughout the day. He would love a fenced in yard. He sleeps in bed with me and is very snuggly."He is available for adoption in Hopkinton MA by appointment. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Puppies may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a puppy BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Ruby CAS is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Ruby has had multiple litters in her life and has that protective mama gene. She can be barky when visitors come over and can be a little too rough with some dogs, she gets along best with boy dogs her size that want to play with her but don’t threaten her either. She wants to be with you at all times and loves to sit high up like windowsills or on tables. She is very quirky, very playful and loves to be outside. She warms up quicker to women than men. She will make a family very happy if you give her the chance to trust you! **Due to clinic delays: this puppy will be available for adoption with the collection of an additional $100 spay/neuter voucher deposit, which will be refunded upon receipt of successful procedure at our partnering clinic. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Be sure to check our Facebook page "Rhode Home Rescue" for details on upcoming events and other announcements.

Story
Meet Shaggy! Shaggy was found as a stray and transferred to us after he wasn't claimed. Shaggy is a cute little guy with the best underbite! He bonds to his human quickly and will be your shadow dog. Shaggy plays well with dogs his size but is nervous with larger dogs. A home with another small dog would be considered. Shaggy despises the crate and being restrained. He should have his own small space without a crate during his 3/3/3 rule decompression period and whenever you leave him home alone until he is fully potty trained. No young children for this little guy. *** If you are interested in finding out more about Shaggy, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Shaggy is being fostered in Worcester. The adoption fee is $350. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Tobi and Tyson are a package deal. Tobi is a full bred Chihuahua from a kennel in Pennsylvania, born April 28, 2019. Tyson is a full bred Shih Tzu from a different kennel in Pennsylvania, born September 11, 2018. We need to rehome them because we are moving apart and cannot take pets with us. We’d like keep them together, because they grew up together and are homebodies because we’ve worked from home for the past few years. Tyson is pretty codependent on Tobi and doesn’t like to be alone a lot, so Tobi is his best friend. Tobi is not as codependent. Neither of them are extremely socialized because of Covid, but Tyson is approachable and sweet. He gets along with people and children. Tobi is more temperamental, but is fine once he warms up to you. They like to have fun and play together and sleep together. We’d like them to have each other since they no longer have us. ❤️‍🩹They are up-to-date on their shots and they are home trained.

Adoption Donation   $   499                 Located:   TENN      (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx  10    years old     Weight: 23  lbs Max is a sweet guy but needs an experienced adopter who can work with him on his flaws.  When he first got into rescue he was bossy and didnt want to hear the word no. He is now learning to have manners, to learn sharing is okay and people arent so bad! With a patient loving adopter he will be a wonderful companion.  He does need to lose a few pounds!  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  friendsoha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
