Story
Meet the cutest little guy around! He is a compact ball of love and we call him our "Walmart Greeter". Carson's person died a couple of years ago and he is needing a new home. Carson is a happy little guy who loves everyone and gets along great with other dogs. Carson is playful, housebroken, snuggly, likes to play with toys and would love a family to call his own again. This little guy is part Shih Tzu part.... Bassett?? A short, stocky little man for sure. Don't let those little legs fool you though, he likes to run and play with the big dogs. Carson is housebroken, so the hard work is done for you! He is an adult with a lot of life left! Let him snuggle up to you and you can heal his little heart. If you'd like to adopt Carson, please fill out our online application at www.goofyfootrescue.org Carson is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized.

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.HAZEL says 'HI' and she would love to have a home of her own to love and care for her.  She loves to get her head rubbed and just hang out with her human to be close.  She is a great cuddler and just loves to hang around you.   At 3 years old and 12 pounds she makes a great companion for any family that is willing to let her hang out with you and just give her the love and attention she so deserves. HAZEL and her son were owner surrendered to me by a backyard breeder who only had the dogs in her home to make money.  Surprisingly HAZEL has a great, quiet and mild temperament with no aggression in any area.  When I put her out to potty I have to make sure to leave her out a while because she tries to get right back in to follow me around the house. If you are interested in adopting HAZEL, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. Good Morning, I am posting JOEY in hopes of finding him a nice home to settle into and become a good pet companion or a human buddy; he fits both categories.  JOEY is very friendly and social.  He loves meeting new people and dogs to play with.  He is in a home where he plays with all of the foster dogs, male and female, big and small and he is very tolerate of change and things going on around him. JOEY can be independent but he does like to cuddle with me when I am on the couch watching TV.  He is crate trained, house trained and potty trained.  He can be trusted to be left in the home alone without chewing up anything or being destructive. JOEY is 3 years old and weighs 17 pounds and in good health.  If you are interested in adopting JOEY please call me or submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.I love this little boy, he is a real sweetie for sure.  NICK is only 5 months old and 10 pounds, he will probably be 15 pounds as an adult Shih Tzu. He gets along great with all of the foster dogs and follows them out to go potty.  He is crate and house trained and can be trusted to be left alone in home while I am away.  He does use a crate though because there are several dogs in the home. NICK loves snacks and he takes them gently. He does share his crate but not because he has to do so.  Sometimes the puppy pugs take over and he just looks at me like 'what to do now?!!'  He has no aggression in any area, seriously this guy is a total sweetheart and a carinig personality. He does need to be groomed and grooming will be part of his upkeep. Story
Meet Bunsen! This adorable little Shih Tzu is about 9 years old and weighs just 9 pounds. He’s not a koala, he just has the biggest eyes you’ll ever see! Bunsen came to us in rough shape after being found as a stray, but after a good grooming and a month of love in his foster home, he’s ready to find his forever family.Bunsen is the definition of a cuddly companion. He lives for butt scratches, tummy rubs, and cozy snuggles. Though he’s hard of hearing and has limited vision, he gets around just fine and is full of love to give. He’s gentle with cats, great with other dogs, and does well with kind, respectful kids. He’s mostly house trained with the help of a belly band and will even let you know when he needs to go outside. With a consistent schedule and a little patience, we think he could eventually leave the belly band behind altogether.Bunsen is a bit of a picky eater, so he’ll need someone who’s willing to be understanding and flexible at mealtime. But for the right person, this little guy will be an incredibly sweet and loyal companion.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 28, 2025, 5:11 am

Story
Please meet Poppy! She is a just turned 1 year old Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix and weighs 8lbs. This sweet girl had a litter of 6 puppies at only 9 months old and is finally learning how to be a dog, now that the last of her babies have found homes. Poppy is a sweet and affectionate girl that needs to "get out in the world." Her perfect home will take her on adventures and help build her confidence to mature into the best dog she can be - she is a clean, blank slate! She is crate trained/pee pad trained and is learning about utilizing the great outdoors for her potty breaks. Poppy is happy to make friends with smaller friends (under 25lbs), but does not want to share a home with big puppers. She adores her 11 year old human foster sister and would be thrilled to have older kids in her home. Bonus - Poppy ADORES men, a rare find in the rescue world. She completely would thrive and need a home with a man we have discovered, with possibl a very patient female resident to build a relationship with her. For more information about Poppy, please contact Michelle at michelle.p@poainc.org For more information about Poppy, please contact Michelle
