Hi, I’m Chewy — your future little shadow with big, soulful eyes and an even bigger heart. 💛
I’m a 2.5-year-old **Shih Tzu** gentleman weighing in at a perfect nine pounds of pure devotion. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily follow you from room to room, congratulations… you just found him.
I absolutely love being near my humans. In fact, I prefer it. I’ll trail behind you wherever you go, and if you need further proof of my dedication, I’ll stand on my hind legs until you scoop me up. I mean… how could you not? I’m a professional cuddler and fully believe laps were invented just for me.
I already know some commands like “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “paw,” and I walk nicely on a leash. I’m house trained (no redecorating your furniture, promise!) and I get along well with small dogs, older cats, and respectful older children (10+). I can be a little shy and nervous at first, but once I bond with you, I am playful, sweet, and endlessly loving.
Now, let’s talk about my ideal home:
I’m hoping for a small family (1–3 people) who is home often. I don’t enjoy being left alone — I just love my people too much! I’m working on my potty training and managing my separation anxiety, but if you’re around most of the time, it’s barely an issue. I would do great in an apartment, townhome, or a house with a yard (fenced or not — I’m not picky, as long as I’m with you!).
Most importantly, I need a home that will let me sleep in the big bed. I simply want to be close to my person — always.
If you have a lap available for a nine-pound ball of love to happily claim as his own — and you’re ready to spoil the “Shiht” out of me — I’m ready to be the sweetest little companion you’ll ever meet.
One look into my big eyes, and I promise… you’ll be completely smitten. 🐾
Adoption FEE: $800 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals.

By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. All Dogs / Puppies / Cats / Kittens are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heart worm prevention, and are microchipped prior to adoption. If you are meeting a puppy or kitten that is not ready for adoption there may be a waiting period until they are fully ready to go home.
Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need.
