Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING!   Taz is a 4-year-old, 8 lb little guy who was transferred to PRC from another shelter due to concerns with handling and stress. Despite everything he’s been through, when he’s given time, space, patience, and trust, Taz shows who he truly is — a sweet, playful, affectionate boy with a heart that wants to connect. When he feels safe, Taz: Wags his tail Does zoomies Rolls on his back Solicits gentle attention Play bows Settles calmly near people he trusts He gently paws for comfort, quietly whimpers for reassurance, and truly wants to bond. But life hasn’t always been kind to him. Taz struggles when he feels pressured, restrained, or overwhelmed. Leashing and certain kinds of touch are still hard for him, and when he gets scared, he may react defensively to protect himself. With calm, low-pressure handling, predictable routines, and understanding — he does beautifully. He even tolerated sedation for grooming with no reaction when handled correctly. Taz doesn’t need punishment. Taz doesn’t need someone to “fix” him. Taz needs someone to understand him. He needs an adopter who: Is experienced with behaviorally sensitive dogs Can provide a quiet, decompression-focused environment Can go slow and let him build trust at his pace Is willing to work with behavior guidance and support Taz needs us now more than ever. He deserves safety. He deserves kindness. He deserves a chance. If you believe in giving dogs like Taz the love and patience they’ve always deserved, please reach out. He is counting on us. Adoption FEE: $500 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption. TO ADOPT, APPLY ONLINE:  www.mercyfullprojects.org PLEASE NOTE: We do our best to supply all known information about each animal in their profile. If you have additional questions, you may send an inquiry email to adopt@mercyfullprojects.org to be answered at our earliest convenience. Story
Ash — The Little Puffball With a Big Heart Ash may be small, but this adorable baby has a personality that shines. With his soft, fluffy coat and bright, curious eyes, he’s the kind of pup who makes everyone stop and smile. Born to Raven, the crazy‑haired cuddle queen, Ash has inherited all her sweetness — and then some. He loves people, loves being held, and is happiest when he’s snuggled up close. Ash is gentle, playful, and already learning that laps are the best place in the world. After being rescued with his mom, he’s ready to grow up in a home where he’ll be safe, loved, and cherished every single day. If you’re looking for a tiny sweetheart who will fill your home with joy, Ash is waiting to wiggle his way into your heart. Ash is located in Hondo, Texas; however, Ash will be available for transport on February 21 to St. Petersburg, FL. Transport fee is $125. Story
Beau is a 5-yr old beautiful pure breed chocolate shitzu. I have a female shitzu that he had 6 puppies with 3-years ago. We love him to pieces and he is very spoiled, but we kept one male puppy and they do not get along. Specifically at night time when they both want to sleep with me. they both very much want my undivided attention. He loves to play with balls, loves chew sticks, eats cheese, and loves to cuddle. Beau is up to date on all his shots, takes flea & heart-worm prevention monthly, and needs to be professionally groomed every 4-5 weeks. I tried very hard to keep his family together. He has lived with my daughter for 2-yrs now, but she is in school and the responsibility is daunting for her. I pick him up 3-days a week so he is not alone. He has mild anxiety and definitely needs companionship. My ideal new family for him would spoil him like we do and give him lots of love. He is a good boy and I want him to be happy and thrive in a new forever home:) 🐶

Story
I purchased Snoopy as a birthday gift for my daughter when she was in the 3rd grade from a pet store. She's now in college. He is a good dog and just needs a loving home. He's 10 years old. He loves to be held and rubbed. Since our daughter is gone away to college, we don't have the time for him and he and our other dog is left home alone for long periods of time. Snoopy loss one of his eyes a couple of years ago but it hasn't hinder him from doing anything. We do have another bigger dog that Snoopy gets along with but he doesn't really go around other dogs. He's not really friendly with other dogs. He's never been around cats. He's a real chill dog and would be a great companion dog for someone that has time for walks, cuddles, and hugs. Update: my daughter really wants to keep Snoopy. If you are willing to shelter him until the end of April, that would be ideal.
