Story
Ruby is a precious senior girl who has been through too much in her 12 years. She was found as a stray and had severe dry eye disease that had not been treated, resulting in pain and blindness. She has been groomed and pampered, had an extensive dental, and had eye surgery to remove her very damaged and non-functional eyes. She feels SO much better and we are so happy for sweet Ruby. Ruby would do best in a more quite home where she will not be expected to navigate stairs. She is mostly deaf as well so we recommend older children only. No young children. She does well with other respectful dogs that are not high energy. She basically ignores them. She loves her food and loves to eat. She is very attached to her kennel and bed as you can imagine with her blindness. She can leave them and walk around a small distance away. She does not bark and foster Mom takes her potty outside during the times she leaves her kennel. She is a sweet sweet girl who deserves a pampering retirement home for her to live out the rest of her days. Due her age and medical complexity, we received approval from department of agriculture to not spay Ruby as it would have been too hard on her little body.

Approx. DOB: 8/8/2018                 Approx Weight: 13 Lbs Adoption Fee: $200 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Booker was adopted and returned after about a year. He took charge at his home and decided he was the boss of his human parents. He did nip at them.  He has been seen by our trainer and evaluated. She said 'He definitely loves women, wants someone to be “his” person but will need a strong leader that will set boundaries and rules - over all a very good little dog'   Booker is approximately 6 years old. He is a papillon mix. Neutered male. 13 lbs. Sweet and loving. A little scared of bigger dogs and does best with female dogs. Walks well on a leash and is kennel trained. Booker is a little guy and would probably enjoy a more mellow home than a busy loud one.  He is a sweet guy!  He needs an experienced dog owner that will be his pack leader. A home with a fenced yard and no children please. I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
