🔎 Seeking a special tender heart for a tiny boy 🔍 🧐 Do you have a soft heart and an even softer touch? ❤️‍🩹 Yes? Then you should know about our little Walter! He is looking for a quiet, loving place to be cute all the time. He’ll provide you furry company 🤗 , and the two of you can be bonded in comfort. Somehow, Walter found himself in a kind of heartbreak hotel 💔 until we brought him into foster. He spent almost all his time in a kennel, his own version of Lonely Street, plus he seems to have a neurological health condition. Here’s where your delicate touch 🫶 enters the picture. With you as a loyal friend, Walter will get to experience the posh life he deserves 🎩, and his best little self will shine through. Walter is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle mix who weighs a teensy 5 pounds. You can just about put him in your pocket 👖, and you could definitely put him in a chest carrier like the tiny, sweet baby he is 👼. Initially, Walter is terrified of almost everyone. He is a Velcro dog, though, so soon enough he’ll stick with his person and build trust in them 🤝. He would love a calm 1- or 2-person, child-free home where he can have some soft, cozy beds ☁️ and some safe places to cruise around and play 🌈. He can run and jump just fine, but when he is standing or walking slowly, Walter gets wobbly 💗. We aren’t sure why, but it doesn’t seem to cause him pain or affect his life greatly. He should be in a home either without other animals altogether, or only with other pets who’ll leave him completely alone, because of his balance issues. He will bark and maybe chase to assert himself to other dogs – Napoleon complex much, Walter? 🤣 – but with a slow introduction, he’ll be all right with them around. Because of his start in life, Walter isn’t house-trained or crate-trained. He has the potential to learn and grow with time, though. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $225. Meet Hope Hope is an 11-year-old Lhasa Apso with a gentle spirit and a heart that's quietly waiting to learn how to trust again. Originally adopted after spending her early life as a breeding dog, Hope was dearly loved by her owner until they sadly passed away. Now, through no fault of her own, she's looking for another special person willing to give her the time and patience she deserves. Hope isn't the type of dog who will jump into your lap or immediately ask for affection. In fact, she's quite shy with people and needs someone willing to play the long game. Earning her trust takes time, consistency, and understanding—but watching her slowly gain confidence is incredibly rewarding. One thing that does make Hope feel secure? Other dogs. She absolutely thrives around canine companions and would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help show her the ropes. She's also friendly with cats, making her a wonderful addition to the right multi-pet household. Hope is still working on house training. She uses potty pads some of the time but is only partially reliable and continues to have accidents. Going outside can feel overwhelming for her, and she currently shows little interest in pottying outdoors, so her future family should be prepared to continue patiently working with her without expecting overnight success. Despite her timid nature, Hope has a few things she thoroughly enjoys. Mealtime is always a highlight of her day—she has a wonderful appetite—and she even surprised everyone by happily soaking up all the attention during bath time! Hope isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for patience, kindness, and a home where she can move at her own pace with a dog friend by her side.
