Pet Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: - I am from a puppy mill situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- I love my stuffies!- I have displayed some touch sensitivities. Ask our staff for more info!- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - A fenced yard is a must for me! I do not know how to walk on a leash, so I need a secure area to go out for potty breaks.- I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - I must go to a home that already has another dog so they can show me the ropes. - Other dogs in the home must be small, as large dogs make me a little nervous. Special Request from Mittens: For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.
