He was rescued from a heartbreaking situation—a house where dogs were being bred with no care or kindness. When everyone fled the home, Gregory was left behind to fend for himself. That’s when our rescue stepped in and changed his story. When Gregory arrived, he was covered in severe mats, had painfully overgrown nails, and showed clear signs of long-term neglect. After a much-needed groom, he felt immediate physical relief—but emotionally, he’s just beginning his healing journey. Gregory is very timid and shy and is still learning to trust people. He will need patience, consistency, and a calm environment to help him continue to blossom. What Gregory needs: • A quiet, understanding home • A securely fenced yard (he is afraid of the leash) • Patience with potty training (he is not housebroken yet) • Someone willing to go slow and celebrate small wins Gregory may not be an instant, outgoing companion—but for the right person, helping him learn that humans can be kind will be incredibly rewarding. 🐾 Meet Penny Lane — A Gentle Senior with a Heart Full of Love 🐾 Penny Lane is a 12-year-old Shih Tzu/Terrier mix with the sweetest, most soulful presence. Weighing about 20 pounds, this senior girl is calm, affectionate, and deeply devoted to her people. She recently lost the only home she had known when her beloved owner passed away, and now she’s looking for a quiet, loving place to land for her golden years. Penny is an indoor companion who does well when left alone. She’s not destructive and is generally quiet, though she may bark if she sees activity outside or if things get a little noisy around her. Penny never learned full housetraining due to years of instability in her past, but she does go outside for potty breaks and also uses a pee pad indoors, which works well for her. One of Penny’s most endearing traits is her loyalty—she likes to choose a favorite person and stay close, following them from room to room and curling up nearby. She enjoys plush toys, sometimes carrying them around, and will occasionally engage in a gentle game of fetch. 🐶 With Other Pets: Penny tends to ignore other dogs and cats, coexisting peacefully.
